Giant stance e+1 pro won't turn on after ap update failed

So I've recently just purchased my new bike and because it has no screen I have downloaded the giant app which you can connect with your bike. I was on it yesterday with no problems but today the app was requesting an update which I started. The app disconnected and now the bike won't turn on at all.

Need help I have a Explore E+2 2020 and I have a Galaxy S20 + ultra and if you look at the image the bike connects but the bike number has changed with a couple of question marks. Bike records nothing. If I connect to my IPhone it connects and records with no problem...tried different Android...

I won't dare try and update my Trance E+ 2 now in case it bricks the bike.
Giant don't answer my emails about this issue although they do about other things, so I think they've been told to keep quiet.
My LBS would help, but I've decided the bike works great as it is and doesn't need any update, at least for now, and if it does I'll get my LBS to do it.
Imagine if your bike got bricked this way on a MTB holiday!
