GEN 5 frame display

Can you keep using Purion 400 if you aftermarket install Kiox 400C?
I love the small display for showing the power data only, on a more convenient location.
And have the big display for other data like HR, cadence, speed?

Your Purion 400 is daisy chained between motor and system controller. You will need to replace the system controller with the new Kiox 400C and plug the existing cable from the Purion 400 into the Kiox 400C.

It’s not connected in a daisy chain — the System Controller has only one output. When installed together with the Purion 400, they are connected via a Y-cable that comes out of the motor with two separate outputs.

As for using the Kiox 400C together with the Purion 400, the issue is that, at the moment, the Bosch system does not support two displays (for example, if you try to connect a Kiox 300/500 along with the Purion 400, it results in an error). We’ll see what happens when it gets released.

It is - the system controller and the Kiox 400C have one output and are at the end of the daisy chain. That is also true for the other two available controllers, the LED remote and the Purion 200.

The Purion 400 and all other dumb displays (Kiox 300/500) have two outputs and are in the center of the daisy chain.
There is no need for the Y-cable.

That is not an issue here, as the Kiox 400C is not integrated into the Bosch system as a display but a controller. This is similar to a Purion 200 combined with a Kiox 300/500 or even a Purion 400.

It‘s unfortunate that Bosch named this new controller Kiox 400C which makes it easy to confuse it with a dumb displays.

Is there any chance this new 400c display will output ant+/bluetooth data so I can record rides with my garmin?
No, at least not for now - it’s not among the features announced for the new 400C. And considering that users have been requesting it for years while Bosch has consistently turned a deaf ear, I doubt it will be implemented in the future  .
