The new Zero-to-100 modeThey say in a new way is true?
I’m looking forward to it, but it’s unclear to me what this mode is. Going from 666W to 810W sounds awesome though! The new Zero-to-100 mode
The more I read the press transcript I’m thinking 0-100 is a new more sophisticated Auto mode.0-to-100 sounds like a new flavor of dynamic microtune to me. I'm happy with the bike as is, but maybe this mode will feel even better.
Nice Job!That’s the translation of the transcript for the Specialized University video that was publicly available for 5 min!
I'm sure they are aware of it and do all they can to no get pushed backwards into the future.specialized still has some catching up to do
If you expect this software to make other motor system providers jealous, you're going to be disappointed. That's a lot to expect.I'm sure they are aware of it and do all they can to no get pushed backwards into the future.
If it's true a new updated software is around the corner it must be amazing and making other brands jealous otherwise Specialized will lose lots of future customers including me.
Not me but SpecializedIf you expect this software to make other motor system providers jealous
I won't be updating mine for a bit. I like the power now. I don't want to use anymore battery.
Then don't do the update......As much as I would love to get higher spec numbers, I don't think this is a good idea in the context of public land access in the United States market. See, Specialized already ruffled a lot of feathers with the possibility for the end user to switch from Class 1 to Class 3, which it not supposed be possible. It's the government that imposes those restrictions, not the user. Plus, crossing the 750 Watt limit of either classes technically puts the bike outside what can be legally recognized as bicycle in the United States. And in the context of advocacy for access on public lands such as national forest this is a big problem. For those who do not know, National forest in the US does not allow any e-bikes on trails because they treat them as motorcycles, which are a type of motor vehicle. If e-bikes are not legally recognized as bicycles by CPSC, they fall by technicality of the law into a grey area which would not allow them to be legally used on trails. Spesh are really shooting themselves in the foot with this decision, unless they are strategically exploiting the language in the current e-bike law to somehow circumvent classifications, yet somehow remain compliant. I do not the direction this is going. As an advocate for e-MTB use, this can erase over 10 years of advocacy efforts with land managers in the US.
Every time I ride somewhere eMTB are outlawed I notice nearly half the bikes are eMTB. The movement can’t be stopped. Luckily the USA is a representative republic and we’ll enact change to represent the will of the people. As much as I would love to get higher spec numbers, I don't think this is a good idea in the context of public land access in the United States market. What other benefits other than power? Am I missing something here? If its just power, I don't want the update.Silliness. All you have to do is back off the power in the app, and can still reap the other benefits of the update.
Most of the National Forest service trails in my area allow motorcycles. E-bikes are also considered motorcycles in my area. Thus all most trails are legal. It doesn't matter how much power or how fast an e-bike can go.As much as I would love to get higher spec numbers, I don't think this is a good idea in the context of public land access in the United States market. First of all, you insult all mountain bikers by assuming that just because we are on a potentially faster bike, that we will cease to be courtious trail users and not slow down to an appropriate speed to pass.As much as I would love to get higher spec numbers, I don't think this is a good idea in the context of public land access in the United States market. That is 100% wrong smart guy. This type of confident missinformation with no evidence is a major problem in this conversation. Electric Bicycle Use | US Forest ServiceFor those who do not know, National forest in the US does not allow any e-bikes on trails because they treat them as motorcycles
Besides more peak power the update allegedly delivers “more natural power delivery, quicker responsiveness, and new customisation options.”What other benefits other than power? Am I missing something here? If it’s just power, I don't want the update.
Coffee, Coke, or Crack here folks!as a S-Works owner Gen 4 It’s a seriously load of bull -S… we were told they would never update the Gen 4 to even close to the S-works and here we are after the fact on the verge of a major update for the gen 4 in general , they say more Watts all that does is supply power, not the actual Grunt of the Bike ( NM ) in so sick of how they manipulate and talk nonsense honestly all ive had is lies and I dunos from them .The first S-works bike was a Lemon gave it back , was promised a bike in July also a lie , only got it now end November , i bought a comp Gen 4 two months in they had to swop the motor - was loosing power , Now the new bike also loosing power so I got told they have to replace the wiring harness and put the derailer onto its own battery ( so the rear derailer is NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN BATTERY CAUSE THE CPU APPARENTLY IS GETTING CONFUSED ) are you frikkenb kidding me , so now the selling point of the battery runs evrything is a load of S…I Aslo the new Sworks in Green is advertised as front hub has 32 holes rear hub aslo 32 holes but when I got the bike 28 on back and 32 on front ,reason i bought new hubs was the hubs that come standard on the bike CANNOT HANDLE THE EMTB the DT Swiss 240 hubs are great hubs but when you ride the bike and I mean ride it properly the derailer keeps skipping , was told I ride it to hard lol WTF. Ive now put Hope Emtb hubs on and imagine that the derailer works perfectly.Hasnt skipped once
MAYBE SPECIALIZED SHOULD TRY GETING THE CURRENT BIKE TO WORK PROPERLY BEFORE THEY SCREW OVER THE SWORKS OWNERS EVEN MORE
I really wanted love this bike ,when it rode with out issues it rode well (BUT SO MANY ISSUES) and now this kick in the face from them
I do ride but surely I shouldn’t have to replace half the bikes parts to get going ,and worst of all All three bikes ive had if I had them 4 months in total 3 months they were back at the shop getting the bike right or is that your norm ?Coffee, Coke, or Crack here folks!
Rock bottom prices
Anger sold separately
It’s like a new, extreme form of post purchase dissonance.
You still have a sick bike right? Does it work?
Go!
Get some of that energy out!
This is pretty hard to read. What is your question?I do ride but surely I shouldn’t have to replace half the bikes parts to get going ,and worst of all All three bikes ive had if I had them 4 months in total 3 months they were back at the shop getting the bike right or is that your norm ?
