It would have to control an AXS or Di2 derailleur. Shimano has Auto-shifting with their Di2 and motor combo. I know Canyon had it for awhile.Avinox does it. The motor runs the chainring to enable the shift.

Interesting... thanks!Avinox does it. The motor runs the chainring to enable the shift.
The Avinox system doesn't speak directly with the AXS I don't think. They figured out another way to make it happen. I think it senses when the derailleur pulls current from the battery when activated and uses that cue to advance the chainring. It would have to control an AXS or Di2 derailleur. Word on the street is it will.+1. I've never felt like I needed more power, in any scenario. I'm hoping the update contains some new features or refinements, as opposed to just more power.
I'm curious if the RD would work with standard AXS battery, in a scenario like this.I had a problem with the hot shoe from day one and found the wire was pinched when the motor was installed.
I put in a warranty claim back in april and got the hot shoe no problem but the splitter cable took longer and is the hard one to get.
I'm pretty sure it's the same derailleur regardless if it comes from the factory with a battery or hot shoe.I'm curious if the RD would work with standard AXS battery, in a scenario like this.
I carry a spare battery in my pack because my other bikes have AXS and it's always good to have a spare, but I've not tried using it on the hot shoe wired RD
anyone try it?
Right - but if the system doesn't "sense" the hotshoe, does it cause other error?I'm pretty sure it's the same derailleur regardless if it comes from the factory with a battery or hot shoe.
My problem with shifting , Specialized removed the wiring harness that connects my shifter directly to the battery and I’m sure to the CPU (was according to them the reason the bike was loosing power , so the control unit wouldn’t know where to send power shifter or motor and power would cut) I’m waiting now for a resolution
I’m running in a AXS battery now cause they removed the wiring to the derailer but it works perfectlyI'm curious if the RD would work with standard AXS battery, in a scenario like this.

Who removed it?I’m running in a AXS battery now cause they removed the wiring to the derailer but it works perfectly
Specialized, the cpu couldn’t decide weather to power derailer or Motor , there’s a few bikes that have the same issue so they sent a new wiring harness one without a cord to the derailer , so till they figured out the issue we could still ride , think there’s 5 or 6 bikes that are in the same boatWho removed it?
Which Gen 4 do you have?Specialized, the cpu couldn’t decide weather to power derailer or Motor , there’s a few bikes that have the same issue so they sent a new wiring harness one without a cord to the derailer , so till they figured out the issue we could still ride , think there’s 5 or 6 bikes that are in the same boat

It's not working!!Locking the thread for 24 hours.
Please remember to be polite to everyone on the forum. Just because people say things you don't agree with, doesn't give you the right to be disrespectful.
Will clean the thread. As said, further off topic posts in this thread will result in a ban , that includes being obnoxious about none firmware related comments. Thanks.
SworksWhich Gen 4 do you have?
How would that ever be possible?

they could have enabled something in the back end for OTA?There was an update to the app yesterday but no signs of a firmware update.

Will be awesome for a new years pressii to have 850 watts gona be a nice as far as I’ve seen it definitely makes a big differenceContinue with the Christmas preparations and look forward to a new year because nothing happens until January.
more support = faster battery consumptionIt won't at all, except to the degree that it changes how much support you receive. Physics doesn't change.
More power = more consumption. Unfortunately nothing is free..I wonder how this fw upgrade will affect the battery consumption.
And you think Spesh would shoot itself in the leg like that? Kill the battery?More power = more consumption. Unfortunately nothing is free..
