Has anyone fitted a larger front chainring on a Bosch gen 4, my stereo 160 came with a 36 tooth steel SRAM, I can find a direct replacement 38 tooth that will fit but 2 extra teeth on the front will not make a big enough difference so ideally I need a 40 or 42 tooth.
im finding myself in top gear all the time and this is a massive strain on the chain and the tiny rear ring, a 40 front ring would effectively give me one extra top gear to play with.
has anyone upped their front chainring ?
what is the options, it looks like a 40 tooth would clear everything but I could do with some advice if anyone has done this already.
