Focus jam2 6.7 plus help/info

Purchased the bike “ jam2 6.7plus”

Why doesn’t the bike come with a specific manual for the bike instead of a general poorly illustrated manual!!

Looking for some advice,

How does the seat height adjustment work, seems one part of seat tube is spring loaded?

What does the lever under left hand grip do?

It’s got a dropper seat post.
press the lever on the left hand side. Seat goes up. Set your seat height via the clamp as standard. Then whilst riding you can then press the lever to drop the seat post to get it out of your way.

I don‘t think bikes come with full details because the bike should be demonstrated during its hand over after purchase, or you buy and build yourself, but really a novice shouldn’t be buying what they don’t know, or understand.

@pedrod355 That dropper seatpost may seem an unnecessary faff, but trust me on this; dropper seat posts are one of the greatest developments in mtb since decent air spring suspension.

As @Landy Andy said, set the seat height for your normal sit down riding. When you get to any steep descent, or anything where the saddle needs to pass back and forth through your legs, the dropper will get that saddle out of your way. Brilliant!
