Hey everyone,
Thanks to Sam’s Bikes on YouTube I have finally bought my first Emtb and my first bike in almost 10 years.

Currently riding a stock 2021 Trek Rail 5 size L - will be picking it up today from the store.

So stoked!

Aloha!

As the old forum adage goes: Pics or it didn't happen! ? ;)

Kidding aside, please post some photos of the wonderful trails we can only imagine you guys have over there. (y)

Been super busy with work but took the beast out for a ride today. It’s actually the 1992 World Cup DH track that’s been modified over the years.

Wow, Bret - that 2121 Trek has a really nice and short chainstay length compared to the ones I’ve been considering back in 2019. In fact I decided to get a Giant Trance instead for this reason. If the Treks back then we’re like yours, I would’ve gone for that!

Nice bike! ??

Thanks mate, super stoked and it’s fun to ride. Base model forks and brakes suck ass but that’s not a big surprise. It climbs so well - like I think I had more fun climbing than descending lol.

@PhotoBret like yourself hadn't purchased a new bike in 12 years. After running with 26" wheels, triple chain-rings and no dropper post this is indeed a new experience. Not to mention the added torque ;) Did some road biking in HI but can only imagine that mtb is off the charts in many areas. Congratulations on the new bike. I'm also a new Trek Rail owner and will undoubtedly see you over in the Trek forum. Aloha and all the best from California.
