Firmware updates / new Mission Control app

Hi there. Sure I am probably way off track on this one but just reading through the blurb in Google play on the latest mission control app and it says:

FIRMWARE UPDATES
Be notified about firmware updates and install them on your bike (may vary according to model).

Does that mean no more taking it to the dealer for updates? I checked the old version of the app on play an no mention of that at all. Interestingly, I (and others) noticed that the firmware names are changed when using the new app.

Anyway, apols if way off mark here but thought I'd mention it!

I hope so as it’s a joke to keep taking the bike back to a dealer and then the fact some charge you for the service!
