Fresh off the press from a competitive EMTB network, it's a bit ridiculous (though not surprising) just how may new DJI EMTBs have flooded Eurobike. So much so, the distinguished prestige awarded to the DJI Crestlines, Forbiddens, and Unno's may soon wear off in a sea of other svelte boutique EMTBs. What's left will revert the focus back to each bike's specific innate abilities rather than the just the cool motor/battery they sport. I guess as it should be. As more Eurobike coverage continues, I hope there's enough oxygen left for other non-DJI tech to emerge and steal back some mindshare.

Most interested to see if/when AMFLOW drop the bombshell of a 170mm carbon enduro ebike starting at 6k.

Currently, the DJI Commencal and Mondraker Level are the most interesting to me, but I probably won't jump ship until late next year.

My bike is better than me, no point in changing it. In any case just spent a wedge on an Ozone Enduro 10m V5 Ultra X. Be interesting to see how it works in 18-25 knots which is my favourite wind range. But when the time comes to change, the Maxon motor looks most interesting of the new motors, but early days of course.

It feels like a lot, but it's no different than everything being Bosch, which is what I think we'd see if not for DJI.

Yep, this, competition is good.

I hope some of the smaller motor companies don’t go to the wall, a monopoly is exactly what we don’t want, even if DJI would love that.

Agreed I put a bit too much spin in the OP that was based on Day 1 coverage, but since then Day 2 and 3 have dropped, confirming this theme. All I'm really asserting is the "new car smell" and scarcity of DJI bestowed up on an up-till-now very small handful of bikes, will now be open to many, many more brands that will dilute it's exclusivity overall. Bosch is so tried and true, ubiquitous, and readily available that any new bike from them is not news, despite the how superlative the motors are (battery, not so much). Attention is king.

Except Commencal ( from next year) and some boutique brands, the others are just brands that appeared overnight by branding a Chinese mockup frame without any proper details. As a mountain biker I honestly need more insight of established brands that really take alot of effort on the bike geometry not just slapping a high power motor to any frame.

I did read some comment somewhere that some of the bigger brands are a little fearful of upsetting the apple cart by using the DJI motor, in lineups where they might already have a Bosch/Shimano equipped bike. The suggestion was that if they use DJI, which doesn’t yet have the quantities, Bosch etc may decline to supply for the rest of the range.

The range of DJI bikes available across Europe is very frustrating when you have to face the channel barrier and Brexit tax……

Months ago it was told Bosch wasn´t accepting new brands (maybe due to limited motors availability). So DJI maybe had there an oportunity . Wondering if we will see DJI in future in other bike components (electronic transmissions?) ...

Told by who?

Apologies I'm clueless as towards DJI system as I've been riding Bosch for the last 5 years
I rode in EMTB mode unless I'm planning amplus 3 HR ride
I believe EMTB mode varies power between 20 and 80 percent
So my question is can DJi be set up similar in that it varies the power like Bosch emtb mode ?

Not strictly DJI related but relevant nonetheless, after watching the EMBN coverage, the worrying part was that so many new bikes are now around the 10k (euro/dollar/pounds) mark. Yikes.
Dentist money. I’m wanting to buy one but the thought of spending £6500 on a bicycle doesn’t align with being from Yorkshire.

. We want to go fast! on our local trails. Most bikes fit the bill with the DJI.

For me? give me a Amflow with 180 front and rear and id be fine for a few years.

We all want a good do all bike, but 160 suspension is limited where 180 is notas limited.

I paid 11k for a low mile Ducati Multistrada lol and here I am forking out that much for a Ebike.

Honestly, im having so much fun on my Ebike, Its worth it if you want to stay competitive. I put more miles on my Ebike then 3 new motorcycles combined
.

They should be, But its not because they are upsetting the apple cart. They could care less about a damned apple cart.

DJI caught them sleeping and spanked them, and now they are crying karens loosing a huge share of a very competitive market

180 with that kind of power in a light Ebike with range? We would be stupid not to line up for it. I can add a 170 to the current PL pro if I thought 10mm would change things for the better, but I know my times wont change enough to justify the change.

Curious if you have sales statistics to hand or just speculating? I don’t think real riders looking for a riders bike are buying Amflow and there are no Amflow in E-enduro currently?

There does need to be a distinction between Amflow and Avinox as conversations move forward. I believe they are all now entirely separate companies.

For the record, I didn’t vote for it. It’s been a disaster. When I holiday in Europe I do feel like telling everyone that.

As an American, I feel your pain. 22% of Americans voted for our current situation, half of those DJT voters don't pay enough attention to even understand what they were voting for anyways, and now we're all painted as having these extreme views and frankly behavior. And I get that DJT is sort of a caricature of the most extreme American stereotypes, reinforced for the entire planet now.

This is great. Hopefully they'll be some good competition to Amflow and prices will drop further.

Hopefully they can also be ridden in New Zealand where I intend on visiting often.

I'll be glad to see the back of my Gen 5 Bosch.

Will never buy another Bosch.

Nice bikes ... BUT still no high grade aluminium frame kit with a dji motor (or a full bike with custom travel, like the Crestline). Anyone ?

speculating?
14 DJI bikes for no reason? You ever work sales for a living? No not speculating, any bikes sold are taking away sales from name brand companies who produce weak bikes. Specialized lost me on a Sworks to Amflow because they are having so many problems with their new rig. My buddy does not like his Gen 4 Turbo Levo, wishes he bought something else. And the Amflow are selling. Im in USA and already seeing them on trails here. Its not just the powerful motor, its a lighter weight bike with a larger battery than most. Some companies kept up with battery size, but they are scrambling to address lack of power and weight.
