@Orangie has it nailed. The EC is a bloody awful tyre in UK wet conditions and I now understand why my “mate” was so keen for me to have his spare rather than buy something else...

Just ordered a betty and mary betty for the rear in super gravity and super trail mary in the front I think they will be a great combo for the uk winter , brought a 29x2.6 assegai for my trek rail and swapped it after one ride up cannock chase was awful
