E8000 reset

Hi guys,

Anyone know how to hard reset a E8000 motor and/or battery?

Getting a constant E010 error and just want to give it a try.

In the first few weeks of my emtb ownership, I had a problem. I didn't have an error code, the motor just would not come on. The nearest LBS was less than 100 yards away and they sold emtbs, so of course I went there. The chief mechanic said we don't sell any bikes with Shimano motors, but try this.. He then pressed the power on button and held it, and held it, and held it. Suddenly it came on. He called it a hard start.

Never had to use it since. Worth a try?

Ah thanks for that mate, I'll give it a try. Yeah heard you hold the power button but obviously got to hold it for some time ?

I think it was abut 15 seconds, but it seemed like an age. I'd give up after 30 seconds. Or maybe a minute!
