E7000 missing Light ON/OFF

I was trying to install the lights to Shimano Steps DU-E7000, SC-E7000A Steps 35mm with out success.

There is no ON/OFF option under SETUP menu. If the Light option is selected from setup-menu there is only beep and ON/OFF sub-menu is not appearing.

I hope that you can provide the solution for us....

I have a similar situation. E8000 drive with sc e7000 display. When I try to activate the light i get a double beep and nothing else. I looked in the E-tube app and there is nothing there.

The Lights On/Off option is unavailable on the current version of the E-Tube app. But it is available on older versions, such as 3.4.3, which is available for free for android in app archives such as Apkpure. More info in this thread: Hardwiring Lights to E8000 - EMTB Forums
It was a hallelujah moment when I found it, I almost paid for the $200 PC tool.
