I see that you posted on Saturday and it is now Thursday with no response from anyone, so I'll give it a shot!
Please note that I have never run a coil shock, so feel free to discount what I say.
Some simple observations:
# Fitting a coil designed for a shorter stroke would compress it by 10mm more right from the start. Therefore, it would feel harder. Bigger bumps would be required to get it to move at all.
# Because I have fitted one, I know that the stroke of a DVO air spring shock is adjustable within a range, I guess that maybe it is also true of a DVO coil spring shock. Would be worth checking.
# Irrespective of whether the DVO Jade is capable of safely being fitted with a larger stroke spring, you are well advised to check if the bike geometry can cope with it.
Why not go ahead and try it! Report back and let us all know how it went. Best of luck.
