I regularly buy 2nd hand ebikes from eBay (from reputable shops). The latest one had no key, so I drilled out the lock. It is a KTM with frame mounted powerpack (not powertube).
Used a 12mm drill bit all the way through centre of the cylinder whilst wiggling the battery. I carefully increased depth with the retaining pin dropping out as I went past end of the cylinder.
You can get replacement locks. Tried wriggler keys and picking kit, but should have saved my time and money and just drilled it out first.
Hopefully this can help others if they lose their keys.
Photo illustrates drill depth using screw driver just to retainer pin.
