I've had really bad experience with tredz were the bike has been set up wrong and the brakes are not working and the dropper post is broke. Customer service is shocking and they do not care about customers. Just want to warn others about them!

Sorry to hear, but maybe a warning for everyone not to use based on one incident doesn't completely make sense as there's likely someone who's had a bad experience with just about everywhere. Overall seems they're quite well regarded ... Tredz Bikes is rated "Excellent" with 4.5 / 5 on Trustpilot

I agree mate my mates have an still do buy plenty from them. I am just not a fan I have bought stuff from them tho in the past.
 
Not an excuse, but it does seem like the online retailers are struggling with demand at the moment and just getting the bikes out as fast as possible, we are seeing report of priorly PDI'd bikes from a lot of retailers at the moment.
 
I've not had the best of experience with Tredz but I've also had much worse. I check my bike thoroughly when unboxing and often find little tweaks need to be made here and there. The one time I had a warranty issue it was dealt with quickly once I'd gotten through their bureaucracy.

All bike shops, chains or not, depend of their staff. The Cycle Republic in Birmingham city centre was a brilliant place for servicing and I trusted the guys to work on my babies. Sadly, it looks like they're all closing now which is a shame.

Cycling is having a massive boom in demand. If you can support your LBS if you value them being around. A lot of them are open during all this, with modified processes for dealing with them usually.

Back to the topic. Tredz have been fine for me.

Not just the online retailers, Most busy bike retailers/workshops will be struggling (one way or another) with demand right now. Distributors, manufacturers and shipping companies are all struggling with certain aspects of normal business and this causes a pretty substancial knock on effect to the retailer, their staff (and the customer).

With Boris deeming bike sales/repairs "essential" and half the country using this as an excuse to take the piss with the amount they are going out to enjoy themselves in the great april/May weather we've had, Demand and interest in bikes/repairs has never been higher.

Trying to PDI a super high volume of of bikes while socially distancing in a small pre-delivery workshop space for minimum wage probably isn't all that easy a task. So, yeah, unfortunately things can and probably are a little rushed through right now and the odd fault may well be missed. Add to this extra pressure from a shop manager/owner trying to deal with more work than usual from all those "stuck at home" but still very much connected to their Email/phones and trying to meet demand and keep eager little "cyclists" sweet about slightly longer delivery times etc. all means this is a bit of an unpresedented time for the cycle trade.
On the whole most customers will be fairly understanding when you explain this situation to them but it will become quite draining after a while.

Before we all dive in and follow the advice of the OP to boycot Tredz let's first bear in mind we know fuck all about his actual issues or the customer service treatment he's recieved.

The LBS's that I use are both very busy, I'm just glad that they re still open!

As for Tredz, I have been using them for years for components and accessories, never bought a bike from them though. But also, I've never had a problem with them either. They're no 2 after CRC of the sites I search first.
 
Speaking of which, placed an order with both Tredz and CRC around a month ago. Tredz Order came, fitted to bike, Happy. Still no sign of the CRC order, but I am aware of the world situation, so will use some patience, its with the courier, they just need to pull their finger out.
 
I've had 2 or 3 bike off tredz and never had a problem. I always check the bike and set it up as I want as a matter of self satisfaction. I had a problem with one of my bikes and they sorted it very quickly and with no Fuss considering the situation at the moment.
I personally think that reviews for places are very wrong as most of the time the only people that will leave a review is when they are not happy. No one is 100% perfect so sometimes you have to give them the benefit of doubt before gobbing off.
 
I was about to pull the trigger on a Levo from my lbs, then they went bust just as we entered lockdown. So now having to buy from a chain shop like Evans. Shame as the service from lbs’s was much better at least in my experience ?
Tredz were ok for me but they were slow to ship the goods. Next day meant next month. That was before covid...
 
I think the customer care is shocking and a LBS would give much better customer service and appreciate you custom more
 
I’ve bought a bike from Tredz in the past. Never again. Ever. Warranty’s are an absolute nightmare with them!

People forget that this is a global forum, with many contributors that do not have English as their first language, use hectares instead of acres, kg instead of lbs and dollars or euros instead of pounds sterling. So it is easy for them to assume that everybody will know that Tredz is a UK based internet supplier of all things to do with bikes except servicing and cheerfully supplying an empty bike box for when you want to sell your old bike.

Tredz were fine for me. Chain Reaction were amazing. E-Bikes Direct were awesome.
 
How is Day 2 of not using Tredz going for everyone else?
I'm definitely going through some sort of withdrawal here.
But that might be due to copious alchohol consumption over the same period
 
Actually this thread made me remember I ordered some shorts off them 3 weeks ago that still haven't turned up.
 
Phew... thought for a second there you were going to say "shoes" :p
