Di2 on neuron on

Has anyone upgraded their mech to a di2 on the neuron on? Is it as easy as it looks? ie cable from di2 mech to spare port on the motor and a cable from the shifter to the display unit? Then reconfigure the steps software to show it's using a remote mech?

Did this for a Spectral:ON. At that time I needed to plug in the motor to a pc with the usb module to get the mech setting changed, so I wasn't just plug and play. Idk if the shimano app nowadays support that. You can also change the mech setting with STUnlocker.
