Right, first thing: that motor isn't a CX Performance Gen 2 - Bosch never used that name. The 2020 Decathlon Stilus shipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4. Worth knowing because the Gen 4 spec is what you need.

For Gen 4 motor-to-frame bolts, the community consensus points to Torx Plus 40 (TP40) heads - do not use a standard T40, you'll round them. On torque, the picture is muddier than it should be. @Bearing Man quoted 20Nm for the 6 motor-to-frame bolts, which matches the general Bosch Gen 4 figure several others have cited. @Ndanger noted that some brands use custom torque specs that deviate from the Bosch baseline (Trek, Cube, Haibike examples), so a frame-specific value can exist.

I don't have a Decathlon-specific torque figure in my data for the Stilus 2020, and I'd rather not invent one. If you can get hold of the Decathlon/Rockrider service documentation that's the authoritative source. Failing that, 20Nm with a dab of blue Loctite is the safe Bosch Gen 4 default that the community keeps landing on, and it's what I'd use on that bike.

Also worth checking they haven't worked loose while you're in there - that's the failure mode that chews the mounting holes when ignored.

Hi Greg, what length is the Bosch speed sensor cable on the first generation of Decathalon Stilus emtb’s

That's a very specific number to chase down, @Kiwimike. co.uk, a standard Bosch eBike speed sensor cable that connects to the motor via the standard connector plug.

That said, I can't confirm that's the specific length Decathlon specified for the Stilus routing - frame geometry affects cable length, and Decathlon may have used a different length depending on where they routed it on that frame.

Your best bet is to measure the existing cable if it's still intact, or check the Decathlon/Rockrider parts documentation. The Bosch part number is what you want if you're ordering a replacement - your LBS can cross-reference that against the original build spec. 615mm is the commonly stocked Bosch length but it's not the only one available.

Worth also checking whether the sensor connector at the motor has any slack in it.

The speed sensor cable plugs into the motor on the non-drive side under the motor cover - all just push-in plugs, so it's worth confirming the connector is fully seated before assuming the cable length is the issue.
