Decathlon resillience

The rubber bungs on mine have done that too. On bearings, in my experience if you need to change some, the overwhelming likelihood is it will be the ones nearest the ground for obvious reasons. If you wanted to test them, let the air out of the shock & undo it from the frame so the rear triangle can swing freely & you'll soon know whether they've gone crispy or not & I'd be amazed if they weren't standard sealed bearings you could buy anywhere for pennies & almost definitely better than what Decathlon could supply.

We have 2 x EST-520's. So far, my display has frozen once (a switch off and on cured it) and I've had one puncture. Norma's bike has a creak from the motor. That's about it in 1 year of ownership and 500 miles each of riding.
