Hi all, have had a good search on the forum and can't find the same issue, can anyone shed any light?
Got a dead(ish) battery on my 2018 levo expert. How it happened:
- Rode Windhill on a mega wet day
- Charged bike but bottom LED was dead
- Test rode bike, all good but bottom LED stuck on red
- Charged bike
- Next day battery won't power on. Dead parrot.

Out of warranty so I've opened it up, it's a touch damp at the switch end (looks like it's come in through the bolt lug seal, not the main red external seal). Mission control won't connect properly, but it never did until I turned it on so expected. Blevo says all is good and connects fine, battery is charged and 92% healthy.
There's a blinking LED (marked on photo), blinks steadily, when I try the power button it blinks rapidly for 5 seconds or so, does this mean anything?

Any ideas?

Also while I'm on, the bike is awesomely fast, jumps amazing and I love it, but it disintegrates under it's own weight, does everyone else destroy e-bikes as fast or is it a Specialized thing? OK it gets ridden hard but in the last year I've gone through:
3 rear mechs
3 cassettes
3 chains
Chain guide
Front Ohlins forks blown
Motor
Rear shock blown
Command post never holds air
Spoke nipple has just pulled through the Roval carbon rim(?!) while tensioning
Self repair on the sensor cables
Replaced SWAT headset thing that broke

This LED flashes for about 2 hours after turning off. I suspect it's Bluetooth because it works for 2 hours after turning it off.

I have another warning:
Be careful not to press the micro switch button nearby, because you will permanently reset the memory and the battery will be thrown away.

That makes total sense, thanks

If I hit the reset button would it not just return it to factory default? Might help?

Cheers

No! Absolutely not do it!
I have this information from a service technician.

Me too .... I'd be soooo desperate to press it ... there's a secret hidden button in my battery ... it must be there for a reason .... must press .... must press .... :):devilish:

Pressed it. Def didn't fix it...

Apparently these units aren't repairable anyway, nice one Specialized, hopefully there's £750 down the back of the sofa.

Anyone heard of anyone who can repair batteries? Battery is all good, electronics issue....

might be a bit late now....... but I have read of UK cases where Spesh have replaced an out-of-warranty battery. However, I think it's probably only been done in instances where the owner is the original buyer, whereas I'm sensing that you bought yours second hand. I'm not aware of anyone in the UK who repairs them, but I imagine there must be an increasing demand for such a service.

Yep if you have the original receipt (even as a second hand owner) spesh MAY do a goodwill discount, unfortunately the previous owner wouldn't part with the receipt and the original shop (Primera in Poole) literally laughed

I had the same issue and this is what the diagnostic tool showed. Shop tried to update the ECU but it would not take. Ended up needing the battery replaced because the controller is integrated as you know. I am the original owner of our 18 Levo and they replaced it under warranty just last week. My bike has 1100 miles and has been a great bike. I have replaced the chain and rear cassette once and did a full factory rebuild of the fork and shock, replaced the shift cable and tires. Usually do the same on our regular bikes after a hard year of riding so I’m happy with it.

I have a LEVO 2017, these times presented a battery charging problem, we put it on charging and then stopped charging and the charger flashed at the red LED, the authorized specialist workshop, suggested that I exhaust the entire battery and charge it from scratch. I did it and it was good, this problem did not occur anymore. But now, after a month, another problem is occurring: some GREEN LEDs are red or orange, it marks a battery that is always full, even when it is half charged. And she no longer accepts to change the ECO, TRIAL and TURBO maps, it is always 100%. I asked the authorized one who sold me the battery warranty, but if I can't get the warranty, has anyone had this problem? any tips? I believe that the problem may be humidity .....

Mine definitely got wet inside, first symptom was the red LEDs, could it have got wet?

Are there any new fsr alloy fattie batteries for sale outside dealerships? is there any model with more capacity than 504W, to put in these older "levo"? Is anyone already manufacturing auxiliary batteries to add the bike?
