My dear wife has a new Cube one44 and I bought myself a one77. Great bikes but after the first service both ebikes started to creak like mad. Especially when moving a bit from side to side but also while riding. It does it loudly even when leaning the bike on its own from side to side . Its not the battery as I took it out as the seller suggested, it isn’t the saddle either. Very strange that both bikes have this at the same time. Any suggestions folks what I can try before bringing both bikes back to the seller who isnt around the corner either ? I applied lube to various parts but no improvement at all. The creaking drives us mad…

Hi, it's 90% likely to be your rear shock bolt, the one one close to the seatpost.

You need to keep an eye on all your bearing bolts the first few months as they are coming loose on everyone's bikes.

Hi there. I have a Cube Stereo HPC160 which has creaked ever since I’ve had it. At the last service the pivot bearings were replaced but it still creaks. Absolutely infuriating but the bike shop say nothing they can do as they have changed all the bearings and greased them up.

I´ve a cube 177 for about 4 months. It creaks like hell on inicial rides on rugged terrains. Now it´s becaming more quiet, or maybe I´m more used to it. Waiting fot 1st service to disassemble and grease some parts/bolts, etc.

I seem to have actually cured my creaks. The cause was either one or both of two things, unfortunately I did them both at the same time.
The first was small play in one of the pedals. They are fairly new but replaced with V12’s.
The second was a loose bolt in the rear suspension. This was the centre bolt holding the u-shaped trunnion to the actual piston on the rear shock. This is not a moving joint. I had to drop the front of the shock to access.
I was going to remove the suspension bolts and put a small amount of grease on the bolt bodies, not the threads, but they were all torqued up correctly so left them.
Hope this helps someone.
