Incredibly well spec'd bike - just added Hope flats and a Brooks Cambium Saddle and will change the Schwables over to Maxxis at some point. Would highly recommend this machine.

I bought the none team version because it's about the only ebike i could find with the right setup apart from the overpriced EPO. It'll take some big hits!

Action Team arrived today :) been searching through the paperwork and can't see any recommended starting points for rider weight vs fork and shock pressures. Is there anything people have seen or is this bike just a case of set pressures, check sag and repeat till happy?

You have a sticker on the fork. Mine came with a owner's guide, but no mention amount of psi on the shock
Apart from that, I always set sag regarding my weight. I run 20-25% front and 30% rear. I think, need some volume spacers rear. Frame is quite or too much linear.

Yeah that's what I thought. The normal recommendations in the fox manuals say to set psi to own weight in pounds but if I do that I'm at about 50% sag. I've set the rear to 250psi now and I'm at about 30% sag but that's without rider gear which is usually 3 litres of water plus usual trails tools and spare innertube etc. Will likely be closer to 300psi once I add all of that which seemed a lot to me.

I weight 95 Kg kitted up and I am running 85 psi front and 260 rear. I think it is right for now. Only I will try with one volume spacer rear, bottoming out every ride without big jumps o drops

CUBES are great bikes and are gaining popularity over here in California. I test rode one but settled on the Moustache Race 8.

Has anyone tried other shock or coil shock on this rig? Wondering if a coil fits in.
But maybe isn't the best option,I think frame is too linear and bottom out too easily. Would be better options CCDB or Fox X2

What rear tyre are you running? Flatted twice my rear Nobby Nic and surely I'll change it or set up a protect system like Cush core
How about you,guys?

Really interesting. I can guess,no frame fitting issues. I spoke to Cube Europe and they told me,maximum tyre size on this bike was 2,60. Bike doesn't admit plus tyres they said.
Could you post any pic from the tyre housing? Thanks
Yes of course- will take some pics in the morning

I love these bikes, and just been offered a 2016 team version, only 600 miles, brand new basically, for only 2k... incredibly tempting.

How are you guys enjoying them?

Sorry but 2016 model, has nothing to do with current models, different geometry, suspension linkage, components ,integrated battery etc. I would go for 2019 Stereo 160 basic class. It's 3.700€ without discount
This bike works really well going up and down,as I said is a big Unknown, with a great price for the specs but the majority prefers classic brands

Just make sure you don't get a slightly buckled wheel as there is much tolerance there ;)

Have to say I'm absolutely loving my 2019 Action Team. It just brawls through anything and soaks everything up on the downhills. Had it 3 weeks and already done 123 miles and that's just going out at the weekends. I find myself going on 30 miles rides which I'd never have dreamt of doing on my old Trek remedy 9.

Maybe you guys can help, I think I have a problem with the chain or drivetrain. When in the highest gear (8th) the chain is really loose and is hanging almost flat on the chain stay. Is there something wrong with the rear derailler or the casette?
Also the chain or the casette makes strange noises when in the 6th and 7th gear.

The bike is only three weeks old with less then 100 km.

Looking at this pic of yours from above, it may be the chain is slightly too long - as the derailleur looks rotated a long way backwards already and it looks to be in 5th (?) gear only. Although hard to tell from the picture perspective.

It would be useful to see some pictures from the side of the rear derailleur when it is in 1st gear and when in 8th gear.

Agreed it looks like the chain is to long although a close up would make it easier to tell.

That’s how it looks like. Seems pretty wrong and the gears also don‘t shift properly. I turned the knob at the shifter completely in one direction and now it works a little better.
