That's very unfortunate. You seem to be handling it well. Must be driving you crazy having that bad boy in hands and not being able to ride it!

One thing I can say about Troydon and the team at Crestline bikes, they offer outstanding customer service and I'm sure he's doing everything he can to assist and incorporate lessons learning so it doesn't happen again in the future.

Would be interested in hearing your thoughts about how the bike rides once you see it in action.

A update was released last night that I believe might of fixed the fault 🤞

Yes Troydon as always has been in constant communication.
My awesome local bike shop here in So Cal (C Street Bikes) Ian has also been extremely helpful with pulling data directly from the bike and talking to Jay at Avinox.
He says their team is working on it.
I’m hoping for a proper resolution asap.
I’ve only pedaled outside at the shop so far.in demo mode I can’t really do any customization yet.. also the bike is probably set to European speed in the software so power speed is capped at 15mph and can’t be fixed until I have a proper account paired.
I’m hoping to ride it on a trail later today and get a proper experience.

Fantastic looking bike! Raw finish looks amazing. Sure it's even better in person. Curious to know how it compares to your previous emtb?

Took me a few rides to dial in all the various settings on the M2S motor on my Zendit. I actually slowed down the responsiveness of the take off in the primary mode I ride in and have a custom "climbing" mode I created for slow technical terrain that has moderate power (for an Avinox), high torque and responsiveness on high.

Waiting anxiously for my Speed Shop Team Edition to arrive. Have some custom components from ~ 5 different countries that are a little outside the box😉

I like the raw look for sure. My other bike is a Levo SL. It’s lighter and climbs pretty well but as far as the torque difference the Crestline is off the charts. I have only gotten one 8 mile ride so far but I plan on playing with the setting and make a custom mode.
 
I managed to get a taste/nice sunset ride today on Mt Wilson in demo mode.
I think you get about 30 miles in demo then you gotta log into your account which Avinox is working on a fix.
Speed capped at 15mph because I’m locked out and it’s in euro mode.
The new Zeb and vivid felt pretty darn good first ride.might swap to my DVO at some point but I’m going to give it a good go first.
Waay quieter and smoother power than my Bosch s180.definitely a big step up towards feeling more like an analog bike.i sold my murdered out Nomad 6 about two weeks ago.dont think im going to miss it much.it went to better rider than me anyways (Birdz/Daniel @YouTube)
Power delivery even in stock mode feels amazing.
Troydon just steps it up with every new version.
I’d imagine we’re heading towards the new gearless stuff in a year or two.
Mind blowing where things are headed.

Anyone have an ext spring they want to sell or trade?
Mine came with 450lb spring but 500/525 is more appropriate…

Also long shot - I got the orange 2027 FOX 38 with my bike and would love a black one in the off chance someone wants to do a swap (SF Bay Area for reference)

4th Crestline - just repatriated #24 Plaid Alpine White to the UK. Built it up the same day and had 2 great rides at the weekend. The M2S is bonkers, so much nicer to ride and so damn quiet. Had a Gen 5 bosch RS180, a pre production press 181.1 and then an Production 181.1 and just moved all of my kit over. e13 sidekicks make a huge difference on this platform..... Loving the Plaid...!

Went to a DH park yesterday, Ride Rock Creek, and noticed that my motor would spin up at certain angles. Like it was about to coast shift.

As far as I can tell it never shifted, but in a 5ish min DH run it would do it a handful of times.

Anyone know what setting is causing this? I played a little with it but never got it nailed down.

I have a 500. Did one ride on it and found it a little over sprung and put on a 450-500 sprindex. I’d be open to selling if you want to PM me.
 
Anyone else experiencing a lot of noise/rattles with the EXT shock? The squelch noise of course but also just general rattling and clanking sounds. Hoping its all shock and not motor.

Which ext shock ?
The older storia's have a bottom out spacer that people commonly used an adhesive to attach to the foam pad. It'd rattle around a bit on the shaft. Other than that, you should only be able to hear the squooshy noises.

Not a Crestline owner, but do watch this thread and see some people running Berd spokes, any chance you can comment on your experience here? Just weighing up a build for my ebike.

Hey team,
Starting to plan out a wheel build for my Teewing Flux, been interested in Berd Spokes since I've heard about them.
These wheels will also do double duties on my non ebike enduro when (if) i get one of those again.
Going to use Wingman carbon rims (similar to WAO convergence, have a $99aud rebuild if you break one), 480g front, 520g rear with E13 Sidekick 2.0 hubs. I really want to go the straight pulls, but they only come in 28 holes and concerned the rear should be 32h. I weigh 80kgs.
Estimated weight is 1700-1800g, cost about $2000-2300aud.

Pros-
Vibration damping
Lighter...

I thought it might be a plug and go in this hole in the bottom of the motor. But it’s too big to fit in the hole which is threaded. Does anyone know what it is or where it goes? And what if anything goes in the hole on the bottom of the motor? View attachment 186544

Looks like the cover for one of the unused wires coming out of the motor. This motor has no plugs, which allows it to be smaller. Instead there are all the available wires coming out of the motor. The unused ones have caps on them

I found out what it was and previously posted the update. It was a cap for the extra auxiliary cable from the display. It’s all sorted now. 👍🏼

I messaged you but I wish I would have known this before going with Berds so here it is. For me, the Berd experiment was a disaster. Most importantly, for me, the spokes don’t have enough lateral support for hard landing, g-outs. The wheels become unsettled and fight against you as they try to catch up to what the bike is doing.

This is just one example of many.


I have since had the wheels re-laced with steel spokes and they feel amazing. No more wobble. Same bike, same hoops, same hubs, same tires. Only difference is the spokes. Hope this helps someone. 🍻

Edit: to give a fir shake down, they feel amazing on chill Singletrack. Incredibly comfortable. They just lose responsiveness the faster and chunkier it gets.

Just curious, how much do you weigh, who laced up the wheels to begin with and what rims were they laced up to? I’m asking because I’ve had a completely different, (positive) experience with mine. However mine are 27.5 and they’re on stiff enduro layup 40i carbon rims and they were laced up by Berd and I’m 175lbs kitted up.
