I bought a Rail 9.8 XT with e13 alloy cranks at 165mm. I bought some e13 carbon cranks at 165mm. The alloy cranks have written on them "22.5mm offset." The carbon cranks are 28.5mm. Offset is not specified when purchasing these cranks, from what I have seen. I installed the carbon cranks and they rotate past the chain stays noticeably further out from the stays than the alloy cranks. The pedals are further apart. I haven't ridden the bike except on the street. Not sure if it will matter, but I would have thought they would have been the same. Anyone else notice this?
