Code 504

What happened to you? As I mentioned on another forum, I have a completely stock Trek Rail 9.9 other than a new rear tire and I've gotten the 504 code too. It was a pain and created a dangerous situation for me.

No it doesn’t. I have 1.0.3.0 on my bike and had a 504 code.

I had a 504 on my Bosch gen4 today. Cut almost all power. All standard, 600 miles old.
I will see what the LBS says tomorrow.

The LBS had a look. They plugged in, cleared the 504, but couldn't find anything wrong, so they updated the software, and all is well.
I didn't have a record of all the previous software versions for the bikes Display, Drive Unit and Battery, but they are all now as per this list Updates and software versions for on-board computers and drives

I got the 504 error at the end of today's ride. What a ballache! The bike has been back to the LBS twice for warranty work since the 1.0.3.0 update was released and both times they've been "too busy" to do the update. Wankers.

Berkshire Cycles would do you a new motor and a firmware upgrade in that time. ?

Error 504 on mine. New software update cleared it. Was worried as error usually associated with Speedbox 3 fitted or someone messing about with tuning. I’ve done neither. My lbs are really friendly with Bosch distributor UK. Apparently known problem. Glitch in old software. Because error code leaves a permanent scar they also confirmed that warranty would stand.
