Cockpit cleanup - Lose the LED Remote

Ah, so the LED Remote is not wireless, it’s wired…that bit I couldn’t verify from Bosch. Thanks! 🙏🏻

Update 2. I’ve done what I should have done months ago and bought a system controller and stuffed inside the frame in a bit of pipe lagging. Finally I have a Gen4 Rail and as a plus it’s got a frame mounted Kiox 300 😂

Slow crash and ripped the wireless mini remote. It was still functional but not to my standards. $65 dollar later a new one came in and looks like they updated it. Throwing the old one in my bag in case something happens.

Your timing is good. The new version just became available within the last couple weeks.

Failure of the rubber potato chip is not a rare occurrence. Mine got jacked back in October. Bosch would warranty it, but they didn't have any replacements. Apparently they stopped manufacturing them because it was possible that the battery could fly out and land in someone's mouth, and they could die. They promised a replacement in November. November came and went, and they pushed back the delivery date to January. I finally got the replacement in February.

I was expecting a whole new design that would improve the durability of the rubber potato chip. Alas, the only noticeable difference is the stainless cap that will keep the battery from flying into your mouth.

Update, I ordered this button extender. To make use of the on/off switch on the battery. I also ordered an extra led controller to take apart and use to fit it IN the frame. Than connect the mini remote and voila! clean cockpit with useable on/off. One thing remaining is that I need a battery level indicator. so I will take the old controller apart to see what i can do with one of the existing leds and a wire.
