Chainring as bashguard?

I have mounted it on the outside of the spider and left the original amflow cranks on, and there was the tiniest rub along the 4 edges where I've marked in red. I filed these edges down, then touched up with paint and it fits perfect.

I have the 34T MOTSUV alloy chainring, and the height is damn near perfect. 1.5 - 2.0mm higher than the chain.

I think it looks fantastic too with the gold chainring bolts. Much better than the all gold Chainring Guard.

Hey folks,
Chris from e*thirteen here. As @Suns_PSD mentioned, we do have the New Turbocharger guide available and it was specifically designed to protect chainrings on a few of the low-power bikes where the ring is less protected from the motor casing/housing. Bosch and EP8 motors which have mounting points for an upper only chain guide, also have the option to use a custom upper slider that integrates nicely with the spider mounted bashguard. You can see this on our website if you click thru the image carosel here: Turbocharger Race 104BCD e*spec Spider, Bashguard and Chainring
We did sell out of some of the configs pretty quickly once they went live, but we've got more on the way and you can enter your email on the page if you want to be notified when they come back in stock.
Note that we assure fitment with these motors + Turbochager + e*thirteen cranks but we cannot assure fitment the Turbocharger and non-e*thirteen cranks. If you have compatibility questions, feel free to reach out to us via our support page and we can assist.
Cheers
Anything coming for the new PR / PX?

Hey @Mcdon001 - The existing turbocharger also works on the new Avinox motors.

We don't have clear crank compatibility info on the new Amflow bikes but the stock cranks on the older Amflo bikes did have clearance issues with the Turbocharger which required an e*thirteen crank to be used. (The amount of room we had to work with to fit the spider and bash in the design envelope was limited so there are some fitment limitations with some cranks).
