Has anyone got a chain guide to fit and be better than the OEM part ? they are a bit flimsy and I have destroyed another and on back order
Surely something better looking and more robust is out there !

Maybe you don't have it set up properly, after almost 8kkm I have zero issues with mine. Still have a spare on stock though.

both times been taken out by flying debris, sticks and rocks , ripped it loose and stripped the strangely part threaded bolt which is not sold separately! British forest trails are fun ! Lol

Just switched to no chain guide here - hurrah! All it does it cause problems!

I will note that the chain was previously falling off like crazy, but someone pointed out that my chain was really worn, as it twisted a lot further than it should side to side. Measured over 1.0 on the chain wear tool too.

I adjusted the B tension, and put new chainring/chain/cassette on and it doesnt fall off any more.

Machined ($$$) or 3D printed aluminum ($$) should be stronger. A similar sized part I designed is about $5 printed in nylon and about $50 in aluminum.

The main problem with the chain guide is it easily cloggs up and then can move as it cant be tighten too much due to the poor bolt design (bolt only has thread on two sides)

What is most annoying is its always the bolt that is the issue and you cant buy that seperate, you have to buy the whole guide for £25+

You can do what i did instead, drill out the chain guide hole and fit a normal bolt and a slimmed down nut on the back, works perfect
