Can I upgrade GIANT Stance 2 forks from 130mm to 150mm?

I'm not sure what travel the rear shock is? RockShox Monarch R. The bike sits quite low for me though, I want a high raise on it....been told go 20% above. Hopefully 150 will be alright?

Sure, 20mm is the max upswing allowed on most frames from what ive been told. I too have gone from 150 to 170 & what a positive change. Went with the Marzocchi Z1 coil as im sure you can appreciate?

For sure pal. I might end up with some fox's 2nd hand. Does your bike look much more beastly too, do you have before & after? ?

No doubt the 20mm added front end changes the geometry. Its more Enduro set now. Totally love both the rear & front Marzocci coil setup

Looks beautiful mate, is it the stance or the trance? I'd like mine to be more downhill, my mate said 160mm travel should be fine but I don't know if I'm risking it or not...?

Its a 2019 Trance 2. 160mm is certainly stretching it, but maybe its Ok? I certainly dont know that. Ive only heard the max is 20mm above the designed rake.
Certainly not a downhill spec as the head angle is not really close to a downhill nor this the rear suspension potential anywhere near DH. More Enduro is where you want to be.

Hello, I just got the stance E+ 2021 model just today, I upgraded the pedals now.

I am coming from a 27.5 with 150mm rock shox pike fork, 2016 Haibike All Mountain, I just sold that earlier this week, I plan to upgrade to a 150mm fork for this one as well, but since this is a 29" tire, is it worth the upgrade? I plan to ride it out on the weekend to see if it has changed the way I ride from my old bike.

So since the thread above is about upgrades, have you then upgrade to 150mm? and is there a noticeable difference? Can I just buy in the marketplace for any 150mm fork, like a Rock Shox Pike? or do I really need it to be EMTB certified?

What fork did you end up going with? I have the same stance model, I put a suntour 150mm auron eq boost fork up front and a fox dpx2 on the rear shock.
Have you done anything else to the bike in relation to the tyres or wheels?

I went 150mm in the end...I put Eddy Current tyres on as well and Hope Pro 4 hubs. I've since given that bike to my mum and ride a Kenevo SL now though

Nice. The hope 4 hub, is that a through axel? Did you notice a big difference with the better hubs?
What size tyre did you fit? Looking at increasing my tyre size but only says it can fit 2.4inch. Wanting to go to wither a 2.5 or 2.6 dhf and assesgai.

I went 2.6 all round I think I cant remember. Hub is good. I mainly did it for the the looks and the noise but it will improve whatever it does lol

My Stance 2021 is on 3.0, no problem
