Is there an easy was to get the cable plugs back in the frame?
Can’t get the lower one in the frame to stay in position to get the top on and screw in

I have never had a Cube, but I am aware of the general problem. Sadly I don't have what you might call a "quick fix" as such. But I have wrestled with this problem before. Try this:
Use a bit of soapy water to help the rubber move into the hole (it works on tyres doesn't it). Also, use a pick, the sort that is used to pull foam rings out of shocks, O rings out of holes, etc. This time, use it to push one edge of the plug into the lubed hole. Then work your way around. Patience! :)

Do you mean this one?
My radon has these to, at first i though who came up with these the i found if you screw them lightly on the cable you can slide them in the frame, hold them in place and screw them tight
