Bosch Nyon importing GPX routes....

I have written to Bosch support, several times, and I posted one of the replies they sent me. Waste of time. I even sent them a gpx file of a road only route and their response was that it contained off road sections. It didn't.

It's not all A roads though that don't route and in fact the Bosch portal uses part of that A179 road earlier on in the route, it just stops part way along it and tries to route you elsewhere and then it allows you to use it a kilometre or so further down it. There are clearly massive gaps in the mapping as I said a few posts up.... It's truly awful and totally unusable. And yes it will be the same for anyone using the Nyon for navigation. My guess is not that many people do...

Hi Guys, I can relate to the frustrations on this thread, just found it. Has anybody found a workaround re the NYON/ Komoot integration. I have tried linking Komoot trips to my Nyon, Im not getting turn by turn, it will not recalculate if I go off route, essentially Im left with a blue sky horizon image not stats and no turn by turn. Driving me crazy.

When did you try this?
There was a problem with the .gpx import function of the Bosch portal. This lasted for nearly 4 weeks and was fixed about a week ago.
Was not specific to Komoot and happened with any form of route upload to the portal/Nyon.
It now works again. For routes planned during the error phase you might need to open the route in Komoot and save it once more. No need to change anything, but Bosch will pick it up as new and the import will work.

It’s not the gpx import function. It’s the subsequent routing on the device. Import works fine but then when you try and use it you get no turn by turn or eta info. It just shows the route. I gave up and bought a Karoo - zero issues (well apart from the battery life but 🤷‍♂️).

That is a result of the import not being able to map the route onto known paths and that was the fault these last weeks.
When this happened the route was imported as track without navigation or eta info.

Well my original issue was posted 2 years ago so maybe Bosch have updated the mapping. I gave up with it .
