Bosch uses both words, support or assistance. Probably because the web design team is different from the app development team.I'm going to have to assume they are talking about the same thing? Perhaps a translation error?
The link - describes everything in detail: https://www.bosch-ebike.com/us/products/riding-modes#c370298Can you provide a link where Bosch details which modes are adaptive? And, of course, what does adaptive mean in this case?

Further down on the page there is a short summary of the characteristics of three groups of riding modes - Standard, Dynamic and Adaptive.
Standard are the original four modes from the very beginning of Bosch motors. They have a fixed support factor regardless of rider input. These are ECO (60%), TOUR (140%), SPORT (240%) and TURBO (340% now 400%).
Dynamic are the newer riding modes that change the support factor depending on rider power. These are TOUR+, eMTB, eMTB+ and RACE.
Adaptive are also dynamic modes, but change the support factor depending on driving resistance like headwind or climbs. They try to hold the speed based on a short term rolling average (around 5 seconds). These are AUTO and CARGO.
Lastly there is the special case of the SPRINT mode only available on the Bosch SX motor. This is also dynamic but changes the support factor based on cadence.
