Bosch Error 550

My bike died yesterday

Error 550

I still had assistance until the kiox died. Looks like this error kills power to the Kiox and then the internal batt runs out.


When it finally died I could barely pedal, i've ridden with the bike turned off before and yeah it's heavy, but this felt like the motor was physically seizing up.


She's in the LBS now getting plugged in, bit gutted they've said warrantly work is chargable (less parts), but I guess that's how it works.

Bosch are now sending a new power cable, not sure why to be honest, I guess that's what the software is telling them.


The motor was seizing up as I rode it, so I doubt it will work.

If you can imagine, Bosch appear to know more than me about these things, the new loom has sorted her right out and i'd say she feels better than she ever has, so i'm unsure if the loom was faulty from the get go.

I was getting a 550 Error code on my Cannondale Habit 2 Neo and it turns out it was the cable that would go to the front headlight was touching and was shorting out. I put some tape on the wires keeping them seperate and no more 550 Error.
