First you can set up Boost for 1 min long…

I have always been able to restart the boost immediately after it stops after the allotted time, but I monitor the engine temperature

as a precaution on the AVINOX screen…

Thanks super cool, didn't know that.
I've experimented with hitting boost, again, and again,, and again, and again..... the motor does get really hot, and of course, the battery noticeably drains faster. I am pretty sure DJI is monitoring the temp with the controller, and I feel like it cuts back to a certain level regardless if the motor is running hot.
But I don't use boost too often when riding, just once in a while on an uphill, passing my buddies.
Haven't seen anyone burn out a motor yet, has anyone I wonder? IF not, that's promising and says a lot about thermal management of the motor.
I's guess Outside temp has some influence with how its running in boost. In the winter the motor will cool much faster. That maybe won't change how many times you can hit boost, depends - that's in the software, but it will change the efficiency of the motor,, when you do. The hotter the motor is, the lower it is running on it's efficiency curve.
What's interesting to me, is that 1 minute is basically a continuous capability for an electric motor. Whatever it's running at in boost ,, 1000 - 1200 watts, if it can do that for 1 minute straight, that means this motor is capable of much more intermittent peak. Crazy. Easily 2000 watts +. But that would be in the range of seconds, not minutes. And at that point, something else is probably going to break, like the gears, etc, and the battery would be draining like hell. No point.
I feel the power has been perfect wonderful, I rarely feel like or crave I want more. OK, there is never enough. But The bike is fast and powerful enough such that my skill limits me, not the bike. Very much like a hybrid of MTB and enduro motocross. All my other ebikes over the years, I felt like the ebike limits me, not my skill. Definitely on the uphills.
DreAMFLOW - she is a fire breathing dragon. Love this bike.
