is the Wahoo mount different than the Garmin mount? That's a bit annoying isn't it?
Is the Wahoo at least the same the Bryton mount?
Or do we now have 3 incredibly close but incompatible GPS mount standards to deal with?

Wahoo and Garmin are definitely a tiny bit different, though I believe there are some that will take both (though the danger is that the Wahoo will be a bit rattly). No idea about the Bryton, sorry.

I asked as I have a spare Bryton mount (came with a chinese topcap mount) that'd pop into the Bikehut outfront mount
But...
Look what google threw up

Yeah, I saw that and may try it first but suspect it is very easy to end up with a rattly fit.

Just got mine tonight. Kids are well impressed... they think I’m some kind of burglar now as it’s the third light I’ve bought in a week ?

hahah... Awesome!

explains all those Ebikes right enough ;)

The 200mm light bars from e-bay seem good for under a tenner.
Three lights plus a battery.

Funnily enough I was caught out lastnight with my new 3000lm magicshines and had to ride the last half mile home through the dark dark woods with no light at all. I normally take a small but just bright enough to see the ground infront LED but in my haste to get out with the new toy I forgot to fit it.
It's something like this

Just got one of these top cap mounts for it

Just got mine from Halfords. Good bit of kit for the money and my 3 yr old has it on her little pink electric trike at the moment. She’s blinding everyone in the house with it :)

I know that feeling! Some pics on the top cap mount, shown the remote too which i don't usually use, but thought might be useful.

Well that was “fun”... thought fitting would be straightforward, but modifying for the Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt was a pain in the @rse.

Fitting the light itself on the out front and the handlebar remote were both ok, and I even modified the Garmin mounting plate to accept thee Bolt without too much issue,. Unfortunately though I then realised that (because the light attachment and Garmin backplate share the same bolts) the Bolt could only be attached pointing 90 degrees left or right, not straight ahead! ? In the end I had to drill two new holes in the handlebar mount and found some tiny self tappers to secure the Garmin/Wahoo mount at 90 degrees from it’s std angle. Looked ok in the end though.

updated original review with a short slightly longer term review

No. They are listed on the back of the packaging.

Don't expect the sort of accuracy from it you are craving . It's a rough guide at best. This is why I was intentionally vague when I said "over" an hour from full 1600lm mode.
Do you know what the current draw on this is. I have been looking at the possibility of hooking this up to the E8000 light output which I believe can cope with 1000mah at 6V.

Sorry dude it's not that indepth a review and TBH I don't really want to be one of *those* light review guys.
Open it up and measure it with your multimeter.

@Gary cheers dude for the heads up on this light. Final picked one up yesterday Hit my local trails for a quick blast last night and it lit the trails up mint. The brackets that come with it are cool and handy too.
Big ??Up dude ??

The rubber mount is all I use strapped to the bars as tightly as it wil go. it's fine for local riding here but if I were to ride with it in the tweedvalley for instance where descents are longer and far rougher I'd probably switch to the go pro mount and fit an alu gopro bar mount or one similar to the mount @R120 has. All available from chinese Ebay sellers for about £2-3 a piece if you're not in a hurry.

Picked one up last night, boy has it got some lightning output!
The up front mount is a lovely addition..... nice,
Much appreciate the in-depth report !?

It was good value at £50; at £35 it’s a steal. I suspect they will sell out of these very fast this week...

@Gary Brilliant review ..just bagged one too at £35squids , had it on charge for what seemed ages but as soon as I select the brightest mode in instantly drops down to the 2 indicator mark anyone else has this?

Yes that’s normal dude on the highest setting
It still lasts ages I’ve not had it run out on me yet on long night rides

Just a wee upate to say now that I'm riding more at night for more stability I've switched to the Gopro mount and a cheap chinese gopro steerer topcap mount like R120 uses (but £3) for my Ebike bike and the (£5) BIKEHUT Gopro helmet mount for my lid. (used in conjunction with a 3000lm Magicshine bar mounted light.
I already had an Alu dual Garmin/Gopro outfront mount on my roadbike and have a Gopro QR bar mount so switching it between all my bikes is a dawdle.

Thanks for all the positive comments about my review
