I bought a bike carrier from Halfords suitable for e-bike weight and that was fine when we had two bikes with conventional frames. Now we have two cube e-bikes with unconventional frames and the clamps to secure the frame and not ideal. The top tube tapers from fat to thin and it feels like I need to secure one bike with the two provided clamps and I cant mount the other.

Is it possible to purchase an additional two clamps or can I swap them out for something more suitable.

I use a false cross bar with a strap between the false crossbar and the bike rack to secure my Cube. They are available at Halfords. I don’t hang the bike from it, that would probably exceed its weight limit. My rack is the type that the bike sits on and not hangs from so it only stops the bike toppling over. Saves the hassle of clamping the frame etc.
