Have bent a crank arm. Came with FSA ck-320 cranks which are 170mm. Had plenty of pedal strikes so looking for shorter cranks. Suggestions?

So I got some ethirteen and they are only just wide enough, and on flexing then just touch the rear swingarm/chain stay, so the qfactor is not enough, even though they are meant for the same motor. I then went for some FSA 220s and they are no where near wide enough. So I am using the ethirteens and trying to source some others with a slightly wider qfactor. Any thoughts?

The cranks are flexing???

I’ve just put 155mm hope cranks on and they are brilliant. I had 165’s as standard and the pedal strikes were constant! I’ve caught a pedal once with the hope’s on but other than that, nothing. When you pedal strike so often, you know when it’s about to happen before it happens but since I put the 155’s on, I “know” I’m about to strike but it doesn’t happen.

Then why does it still happen? You know it's coming, just pause for a split second and not pedal strike.

If you’re pedalling up a steep incline (I do a lot), pausing for a second will stop your momentum. Shorter cranks have stopped that.

Ah, the steamroller method. I get ya.

For those interested who have bought hope cranks and were disappointed that they don't come with dedicated protector boots, the race face alloy versions fit pretty well.
