Best motor to derestrict

This is not miss information I was advised not to fit a speedbox by the shop I bought the bike from as it would burn the motor out at high speed and also be dangerous altering the speed of the bike.

50k km bosch motor with Volspeed chip, hasn't burned anything. Low speed is much more dangerous if you do any rides with traffic imo

Thanks. I did wonder. I’m just looking to get an eMTB so all knew to me. Is there much trade off to only having 65nm to say 100/120 in likes of the latest Bosch, is it very noticeable. Guess it’s a trade off not being so restricted off road. I’m reading get the Gen5 though as 4 can be noisy etc

Depends on what you do with it, more power/torque is always better. You don't have to use it if you don't want to. Older bosch is noisy but not unbearable.
