Cube is releasing an avinox bike soon.
If the speculation is something that comes to be, it
How soon?
Since Cube has released the 26 lineup, if it were to release a new design with new drivetrain, my guess would be late in the year as an early 27 release with a timeline in the range of Sept or Oct at the soonest. This of course, is with a big if.

So my question is, Does Avonix have the capacity to supply a “Tier 1” giant like Cube, Canyon, Specialized, or Trek.

This spring, they will present the new Orbea Wild with Avinox, but it will not hit the shops until 2027. All the top brands that are jumping on the ‘avinox’ bandwagon at the last minute will not be able to have their bikes ready for this year.

If the brands that confirmed a year ago are having problems sourcing motors, imagine the ones that are arriving last. There will be a severe shortage of bicycles, with Avinox arriving in dribs and drabs this year.

Cube and Bosch are like symbionts, it's really complicated. There's a bike shop here that only sells Cube and they hate Avinox, and according to them, Cube will never carry it.

If Cube released something with Avinox, it would be a hit. But I have a feeling they're going to wait for the Bosch Gen6 in 2027.
Bosch need to wake up fast to their competition. Their system is too restrictive and controlled. Want to install a motor powered light on a bosch bike? Bosch answer is visit a dealer! Ridiculous

When faced with a new market entrant, existing companies that are powerful, with high market share and in a seemingly unassailable position often behave oddly. Some ignore the entrant, assuming that they will fade away. Some will take an interest to see if there is anything to learn, assess the threat etc, but understimate them and overestimate their own position. Not many will treat each new entrant as a potential threat and react accordingly.

I used to work for a large food company. If ANY new product was launched that could steal market share, even if it was in just one part of their territory they would react very strongly. As a minimum they would advertise in the area and reduce prices (this was before the supermarkets became so dominant and this was possible). Anything legal in fact to inhibit the new entry. In addition they would buy some of the product and carry out a complete analysis. What was it made from, what was the process that made it, how much did it cost to make, what profit was being made, who were the suppliers? and so forth. Most importantly; was there anything to learn? I'm fairly sure that their local sales people would find out as much as possible about the new entrant.

I played no part in any of that, but what was being done was briefed down to my level in the company. It was clear that if we came across any interesting market information about our competitors (money-off packaging at the printers for example), then we should pass it on up the chain. I no longer work for that food company, but it is even larger and more widespread now.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in some of the Bosch board meetings.

new Thömus with Avinox coming today, the battery tube seems quite slim.....

Definitely some interesting options available in Europe that we don't see in NA.

looks pretty good actually
Agreed it looks great, and honestly looks so much better than the Specialized Levo R (as another new bike to compare to). The slim Avinox batteries do wonders for frame design and keeping these e-bikes looking like bikes and not some bloated beast.

strange timing releasing this now when they haven't even bikes in stock

No different to what Forbidden did with the e-Druid last year. Released the bike with no stock on pre order 😢.

It's now nearly March and I ain't got my bike...I was amongst the first orders in Oz last year..

Looks more to a slash+ tbh! And I do wonder why they all do not put a lower pulley like the slash, it makes so much difference on the chain.

Honestly, that's my dream bike.

Yeah, what I would really like to know is the real weight with the burly parts, rental, dh casing etc. But let's be honest, I feel this is going to me close to my bike which is literally the same but with 50nm ...

So frustrated I am right now.

Yes I'm not really looking for a high pivot bike, but if one of the other players announces a bike closer in looks to the megamo with that leverage + travel, chainstay, cable routing and 4 way headset adjustment I'd be all in.

The other thread is hinting at the Mondraker having a lot of adjustments.

I'm hearing persistent rumours that Forbidden will release the e-Dreadnought shortly and that Amflow will announce a high pivot enduro style big brother shortly as well. Looks like there are lots of options coming on line.

It's just a case of finding one that suits, that you can access and then pulling the trigger and hoping it arrives in a timely manner!

The spy shot of the Amflow that popped up some time ago looked beefier but wasn't a high pivot.

I heard a rumour that the Avinox M2 is so powerful that when you pedal it's not actually the wheels that are turning but rather the Earth rotating away from you

i mean in context of just a few weeks shy of the next avinox. i doubt this one will still come with the m1, so why present now?

I guess to get the "hype" and "stoke" out there before everyone goes all gaga over the new Amflow.

I do wonder about the whole "release it at Sea Otter" strategy.. why not get on the front foot, get your product out early and get some orders in. I'm hearing that Amflow will release their new model bike at a Taiwanese show at the end of next month ahead of Sea Otter, which clearly gives them an edge... If Forbidden are ready to go with the e-Dreadnought, why not release now, build the hype for the "show and tell" later. Get those orders flowing!

Limited supply run. They'll all be sold rather quickly I suspect.
They may have learned from the e-druid, though in fairness that wasn't entirely their fault. Rumour is they had to do a whole new run of chainstays due to issues with the factory. They sold bikes based on test mules, without having supply firmly in hand, but the timeline went sideways on production.
Apparently the naught-e will be different, but limited supplies. We will see.
Theoretically speaking, should this bike actually exist, I have my name on one. Again, theoretically speaking, a dealer may have had two of them available as allotments. April-may was the time frame, but of course after the fiasco with the druid-e, and the dji embargo, they're playing it pretty close to the vest.
I had a couple of e-druids on order, and gave up after their delivery dates got pushed back repeatedly, hopefully this ends differently. Love my dreadnought v2, would be perfect with a motor !
