All bikes with Avinox that will start selling in April (like Commencal) will have the new motors. The M2 will come on lower end alloy bikes and the updated M1 on higher end models. If true, would this mean that bikes arriving next year (commencal) will use the new motor or would the current one already have been used in production?

Avonix and Bosch G5 are compelling motors for a host of reasons and would be the logical choice for the most part going forward currently. With that being said, if Avonix cures the rattle and if Bosch develops a slim battery I would be hard pressed to choose and would only consider a brand with a motor that has the above qualities. This is the same thing my local Amflow dealer told me, he also said there’s some new bikes coming in the spring with the Avinox motor from some of the bigger brands.
Yes ,many more brands.Rumors talk about Mondraker,Orbea,Norco ... And othersThis is the same thing my local Amflow dealer told me, he also said there’s some new bikes coming in the spring with the Avinox motor from some of the bigger brands.

thinking the next gen avinox bikes are going to drop and wipe out the entire SL market!
ZIV is the german bicycle industry association, why would they decide on the world? make it make sense...nothing like hype rumour threads to give us the ultimate letdown, hope this doesnt turn into another new levo one! Maybe the cheaper one will be ZIV friendly 750w max...
more brands than you'd think are members - canyon, scott, specialized, giant etc who previously said they want max 750w. Whether that is still true in 6months time who knows.ZIV is the german bicycle industry association, why would they decide on the world? make it make sense...
yes, also 25km/h max speed for the world /smore brands than you'd think are members - canyon, scott, specialized, giant etc who previously said they want max 750w. Whether that is still true in 6months time who knows.
Well Giant definitely didn't follow trough I guess, the new Reign E+ Advanced is 800W peak.more brands than you'd think are members - canyon, scott, specialized, giant etc who previously said they want max 750w. Whether that is still true in 6months time who knows.
My Avinox is silent compared to my EP8Yep…the rattle is what is keeping me from an Avinox bike right now. The rattle from my old EP8 drove me bonkers enough to sell the bike after 6 monthsI was going back and forth between the Yeti LTe and the Nicolai S18 but my mate said to wait, he was saying some really nice Avinox stuff is coming along with the rattle free M2 motor.
They all said that. Then the market reminded them that more power sells.more brands than you'd think are members - canyon, scott, specialized, giant etc who previously said they want max 750w. Whether that is still true in 6months time who knows.
Mine is dead silent, no rattle at all.Yep…the rattle is what is keeping me from an Avinox bike right now. +1Mine is dead silent, no rattle at all.
I heard similar specs but for the new m1. The m2 should have similar specs as the current m1.Yesterday I saw a video on a friend’s phone showing the new M2 prototype. The Avinow app’s configuration screen showed 1300 W and 130 Nm. I asked him for the video, but he told me it is still under development and that he could not share it with me.
Bigger capacity than current batteries but same sizeSomeone mentioned a new battery, any leaks on that? Overall capacity or energy density would be interesting as I imagine they will want to be ahead of the rest.
Nobody's gonna need 12sp cassettes with those numbers!I heard similar specs but for the new m1. The m2 should have similar specs as the current m1.
I believe 130nm 1000w + is really pushing the limit for an emtb as I believe you can have too much power.
The current motor is more than enough and I dont really get why DJI are pushing for so much power.
They could, but they would make less money doing that so they likely won't.No reason the current Avinox can't do higher torque numbers with a simple OTA upgrade like before. Any battery over 800 in the same size is going to be heavier and honestly, it's all unnecessary. Just make it all lighter, not bigger and stronger.
more stored energy doesn't weigh more... do you understand how batteries work?Any battery over 800 in the same size is going to be heavier and honestly, it's all unnecessary. Just make it all lighter, not bigger and stronger.
Yes energy density sounds like the direction if it will be a higher capacity battery of a similar size.Someone mentioned a new battery, any leaks on that? Overall capacity or energy density would be interesting as I imagine they will want to be ahead of the rest.
