Yeah, I agree man. I sure hope they keep improving efficiency, durability, and cost, rather than just blasting out insane wattages that slay the golden goose of regulation, so to speak. At that point, they might as well be selling Surrons.

It's honestly worrying how many people have forgotten about critical thinking and will just outsource all their thinking to ChatGPT. Doesn't bode well for the future tbh. I find boomers the worst for it, rocking up to threads and posting their AI drivel as if they are some sort of enlightened, higher intelligence being because they figured out how to download ChatGPT and write a prompt.

I'm not sure that logic stacks up. The examples you give, i.e. additional power and speed, are already illegal/unlawful. They are already regulated and barely policed.

Dji is not Bosch/Shimano/Yamaha... They update their products at a much higher rate.
2 motors are coming early next year... no sl version though, both full power.

I think people need to keep in mind how DJI releases a new motor might be very different than Bosch or Spesh (Brose) do with an entire new platform. They may introduce some very small tweaks to address issues like the rattle or improved bash guard and keep mounting patterns the same so it's still compatible with existing frames, which would be a far less disruptive change than the others when they do a whole new "platform" all at once with zero backwards compatibility. Yes, it would be a big deal to do the whole platform change already, but if they keep the mounting the same and everything is compatible with existing frames, updating the motor and/or battery could certainly be something done at a much higher cadence than the incumbents have been getting away with.

To improve the internals for higher power numbers and reduce rattle most likely. Perhaps save weight somewhere. As the post above me outlines I imagine DJI with keep the form factor largely the same and make it compatible with existing frames.

Fixing the rattle, installing mounts for a bash guard, and improving efficiency, are all worthwhile upgrades that need to be made to the Avinox.

However, the huge thing that I could totally see Avinox integrating, is Solid State batteries with about 2x the density of current batteries are literally hitting the streets in China right now. They could really leapfrog competitors (sorry, but they have yet to surpass Bosch imo) in one fell swoop with this change and also completely negate the efficiency argument.

SS batteries are coming sooner, rather than later to e-bikes, as they are really one fo the best applications for them and bikers are willing to pay extra.

They allready announced M1 and that is what they will deliver. there is no mystical delay because of a new updated engine. you all get dissapointed because of Alex the biketester hahaha the only result is that people stop buying avinox till next year but then realise they get fooled by youtube clickbate. same like a half year a go a youtuber said amflow woud stop selling bikes after brands got supply with avinox

The thing is next year there will be many more Avinox bikes and Amflow will lose it's appeal other than maybe pricing.

In regards to the comments above, pricing as mentioned would be somewhat of a disruptive change. We will have to see what the new year brings. Today, most full-suspension, mid-drive e-MTBs from recognized brands, retail between $5,500–$9,000 USD for decent specs.

A $3,500 aluminum e-MTB with modern geometry, a new-generation motor, integrated battery, and quality suspension undercuts that by 30 to 50% while appearing not to compromise performance.

That’s the equivalent of DJI’s Phantom arriving at one-third the price of hobbyist drones, with better performance and integrated tech, and we all saw what that did to the industry.

This could result in a quantum shift from hobbyist to mass-consumer product. With e-MTBs becoming a mainstream commuter / trail category. It does seem to be a risk for boutique e-MTB brands relying on outsourced motors however.

I don't really see that changing much, frame brands come and go.

funny how sram/shimano/fox plod along making profits when revel/yt go bust etc. I'd expect to see the avinox brand in 3-5 years, amflow not so much.
