no chance, largest will be the old 800wh, which will be too big to fit in the round downtube.

As long as I can get the same kind of range as a gen 3 levo or 24 wild I'll be happy. Although someone will make a range extender for big days I'm sure
Not sure where it's come from but there's talk of a range extender in the M2 thread. I thought Avinox had said quite clearly that they would concentrate on the main battery but I see Vola bike already do a 252Wh extender
It looks like the 700 is the new "premium" option in the high end bikes and the 800 is a removable option in some of the frames. I've not seen anything about the rumoured 900.

The 700Wh most probably has the same/similar weight as the old 600Wh, that is one advantage, the second is efficiency as the new single cells used here will stay in the optimal window of operation a bit longer due to a bit higher capacity.

That does look slender from the side, maybe the 800 will fit and the "not chasing the biggest battery" could refer to the 900. I'm hoping it's as big as possible so fingers crossed

The 800Wh is the current(old) battery pack. Looking at the confirmation here of them using a 700Wh battery for the Atherton, this implies to the use of the already mentioned 6,5Ah cells.
If they bring the bigger new battery pack on the market for other Avinox equipped bikes using the same cells it's going to be a 930Wh pack weighing just slightly(80g) more than the current 800Wh, which considering the extra 130Wh and the already low weight of their current 800Wh isn't that bad.
Consider it as a form of a 130Wh range extender weighing 80g

I'm quite sure they could still screw their next bike up.
They bought a lot of credit with the kenevo sl and enduro, and have been essentially coasting since.

The battery is what I hope. Also exciting to here they are developing ebike trails at DyfiHas been one huge ebike trail for a few years. It's very full on

I'm happy with 700wh. I won't be happy with 600wh.

Right, nothing to do with the motor / battery. I've gone for the .2 model with the Zeb ultimate and Vivid air. Most of my recent bikes have had Fox factory kit but I've found them increasingly difficult to get right. They might be great out of the box (maybe new bike syndrome) but I've felt the performance drops off quickly. I'm currently struggling with the 38 X2 on my Vala.
I kind of feel that my RS equipped bikes before might not have been quite as good when new but then just stayed at that level indefinitely. I've seen that Fox have updated the 38 with new internals and now I'm wondering if it's because the 25/26 X2 isn't great? They seem to be making a big deal about it being better off the top, which is one of my main complaints, was last years fork bad? Should I stump up the extra grand and go for the .1?

Worth bearing in mind the RS spec'd bike will likely come with the updated Zeb which will be unveiled soon also.
I went build 2 as well. I ride fox factory now and the extra for fox doesn't seem worth it.
I wish there was an ohlins spec version.
Fox is a pain to setup and needs constant attention to keep it at the peak. Rockshox is easier to setup and less finicky.
Also rockshox recently I've just preferred.
Best thing you can do is get the fork and shock tuned straight away. Slick and slide in the UK are mega. 160 each gets them rebuilt fully, shimmed and tuned to you and your bike plus the damper and air spring internals changed. Since I've started doing that with mine, I can't ride anything else. It makes the shock and fork what they should be from factory. Huge difference

I've already asked about upgrading to the Ohlins spec on the A170.2, the answer was no

Even that is beyond them apparently!
They won’t deviate from their build process, got to be honest, doesn’t make me super psyched that (lack of) level of customer service not exactly a difficult ask!

They have been really clear that the pre-order batches can't have spec changes, and they aren't on bike2work scheme etc either. After 9th April you can have whatever spec you want but you'll be waiting till July or later for delivery...
I'm first batch and I've already bought new wheels, tyres and handlebars, anything I take off will be for spares or going straight on eBay...
Did you order a set of CF wheels? If so may I enquired which ones, also thinking of going for a riser 40mm bar like on the new AMflow it’s very comfortable to ride.
