My sons has the composite version and they are very good.Anyone thoughts on Burgtec Penthouse Flat MK5:

Same allow as the bike 7075, machined, steel axle or whatever (the middle bit the pedal spins around I dunno the term?) and a nice raw finish to match the rest of the bike?
One of the best flats about imo. Nice and grippy, super strong and fairly thin to help with ground clearanceAnyone thoughts on Burgtec Penthouse Flat MK5:

A glued together frame, yuk, looks very 90,sThe other thread seems totally convoluted and presently full of none relevant conversation.
Original thread : Atherton Dyf-E bike coming soon...
Therefore, here's a thread relevant to the actual bike.

Looks like it’s worth the wait then
They have resolved the head tube entry ports so we can run with left hand rear brake. CoolBike is here and together, I'm away for the weekend so first ride will have to wait ,View attachment 186518

The main climb to the top of Hawes trail system here in Arizona is also named Alpe d'Huez!First ride out on the bike was great. I've been worried it was just to much bike but that doesn't seem to be the case at all. Very easy to manoeuvre and jump around on the trail. I didn't go mad, I deliberately went out with a bag full of tools and forgot my pads.
Setup the suspension to the recommended settings and changed auto to 3 to 11 after watching a couple of videos. Everything else as it was..
I think I normally ride a bit over the front fork but found I don't need to put as much weight on the front of this bike.
I dropped about 10 psi out of the fork (137 down to 127) and reduced lsc 2 clicks, added 5psi to the shock upto 230 , rolled the bars fwd a tiny bit then it felt really balanced. I'm about 83kg for info and this is a size 8. Rebound on the shock is just a bit too quick so I'll be adjusting that but the trailhead rockshox app seems pretty accurate.
The motor is pretty much ridiculous in that auto mode. The 12 mile loop took me under an hour, I'm sure it's normally 1.5 to 2 hrs
I set Strava to public briefly, think I had a KOM, several top 5s and that was just auto, I did drop it into turbo on one of the road climbs we call alp d'huez and it was bouncing off the speed limiter.
Even the saddle seemed pretty comfy despite not looking it to me
Anyway extremely happy overall. It did flash up a motor power restricted warning after about 20 mins, on off cleared it and didn't come back so I'll keep an eye on that.

With regards to Motor Power warning, I had this on my Pro go into advanced settings and turn off the “ extreme elevation setting” Basically if it detects the bike angle is to steep itFirst ride out on the bike was great. my pro did the same. You can go into the advanced settings and switch off the elevation mode. This fixed the issue. Hope this helpsFirst ride out on the bike was great. Am batch 2 #75. Was told built 18th June for collection the week after so not delayed by too much, just enough!!Would have been nice, always next time though.
What batch was your order in?
I’m in batch 3, I was previously told mid July - although I still haven’t received any specific ETA yet (likely going to be delayed also).
Cheers
