Apple watch turn by turn directions with trailforks? other features?

I'm thinking about the apple watch as a way to not have to pull out my phone to figure out where I'm going on the trail...does it do this? I know Garmin does (pretty sure). Bottom line, is it cool for mountain biking? what are some of the other useful features?

before deciding on which watch and its navigation features, best decide whether your wrist is the best place to squint at while on a trail.
In my judgement, it's fine for hiking (where the risk of hitting a tree during walking is limited), but not on a MTB.
