Thought I'd say hi. Long time lurker first time subscriber and all that
35, based in North Yorkshire, local haunts are Errington Woods, N. Yorks moors, Guisborough and Hamsterley.
Rode on and off for years, from BMX and Dirt Jumping in the 2000s to Trials and now I just like to get out and ride trails most of the time the rougher and faster the better, with the odd adventure mooch spinning somewhere new thrown in to shake things up a bit.
Been wanting an ebike for about 10 years after a bloke went flying past me up a grim climb at Guisborough woods and I called him a cheater, so he waited for me at the top and when I caught up jumped off and told me to hop on his turbo levo, go back down the same hill and come back up. Got to the top laughing at how stupidly easy and fun it was and have wanted one since but bided my time until it felt right to pull the trigger, battery tech, motor tech, reliability, geometry, price and most importantly my own fitness etc.
Anyway, took delivery of my Whyte Kado RS last week which is my first non Specialized brand bike I've owned since 2009 and my first eeb and took it for it's maiden ride up my local Errington woods on Saturday. Was an absolute hoot. LBS did a cracking deal so got them to deck it out with Hope GR4's, floating rotors, Hope f22 pedals, kiox 400c and stick a cushcore in and save me the faff of converting to tubeless myself at the same time.
