Hi all, as a newbie I thought it polite to introduce myself. I'm Gary, I've been cycling since I was a nipper and I'm now 61 (how the hell did that happen!).
I bought a Cube Stereo hybrid with the Bosch CX motor in 2019, however I've always found it has too much assistance for me and spent most of the time in eco mode. A week or so ago I picked up a second hand Trek ex-e and still use mainly eco mode but it's a lot nicer to ride. You feel like you're skipping over the trails rather than bulldozing through them if that makes sense.
For context I also have a Trek Domane+ which I use for keeping in shape/winter training but ride with the motor off for 90% of my local routes. I also own a carbon CX bike and a titanium gravel bike. Too many bikes my wife keeps telling me, lol!
Here's my Trek ex-e out on a ride yesterday.

Cheers,
Gary
