It's really bad today. Constant pop up ads taking up the half or the whole screen on mobile. Makes using the forum rather unpleasant.

Well I can honestly say i've never searched for a 90's MTB with silly bendy bars.

To be fair to Rob.... you get 0 adverts of any description for £5 a year... It's pretty hard to argue with that.

Only if you have targeted ads turned on.

In my example above, I've never once searched anything about Scottish elections. I've certainly never searched Korean Dating (or any dating sites for that matter) but that's another common ad on here... which is why I don't browse EMTB forums on my phone when I'm sat on the sofa at night with family around. I assume Google serves those ads but this is a website frequented by middle-aged and above men.

I did just get a RideWrap ad, so at least that's actually relevant.

£5 a year is pretty damn good though, I should just pay it.

I have the latest top shelf iPhone and the site is performing terribly on mobile recently. Assuming because of the up-leveled ads being served.

On desktop, Safari is even auto blocking some ads because it is using too much system resources. So google is definitely injecting some overly aggressive advertising into your site.

@Rob Rides EMTB you need to make the subscribe CTA more prominent somewhere, I am trying to subscribe and am not seeing it anywhere (aside from the link posted in page 1).

I too have been getting more ad's this week mainly on desktop. The full screen ones are a little annoying

I usually have NextDNS turned on so I don’t see any of them, but had to turn it off for internet access at this airport WiFi and good lord… I thought I had ventured onto a porn sure with the ratio of ads:content. Whole screen ads, things sliding up from the bottom that need to be sent back down like whack-a-mole, inline stuff in posts. Makes you appreciate when the blockers are working and you don’t even notice.

The ads are worthless. Nothing I would ever click on. Google is a bad choice to earn with.
