7sp fitted to Levo ?

Hi, wondered if anyone has had any luck fitting a 7speed cassette / mech set up on their Levo? Sick of the expensive cassettes and I pretty much only use the bottom 4 gears , so a road or DH cassette would be fine. Currently have XD driver, but can swap out for HG etc. anyone actually swapped out?

Bin the xd freehub & buy a steel hg one. All xd driver compatible cassettes are expensive.

Perhaps consider Microshift's 9 or 10 speed Advent drive trains if you are willing to swap in an HG freehub. Did both of our 12 speed bikes, 11 speed I left alone (for now).

(yes, i know ,there is cheaper 7s DH PG-720 cassette for shimano freehub )

for me, the best solution is 11s - you have a lot of options and parts are cheap.
I run XT shifter, cassette, chain
but you can go even cheaper - deore 11s. ( SHIMANO DEORE RD-M5120-SGS )

or maybe even 10s ? if the components are still available.

Im new to Levo, how often do you need change casettes ?

depends how and where you ride
I've just checked mine week ago, chain was properly stretched (measurement tool drops in), however still everything worked fine.
11-46 sunrace 11s cassette and XT chain. they have ~3000km.
