Saw a post somewhere in here this morning about Ethirteen chainrings on the 22 Rails throwing the chain off and Ethirteen issuing a service bulletin saying a spacer needs to be fitted, but now i can't find the post.
Reason i ask is, my 22 9.8 XT just threw the chain off the chainring. I'm also wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

Edit, just found this so i'll speak to Trek in the morning.

Agree it’s a crap solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist. I have a spare sram 34t chainring for my 21aluminium Rail on the shelf in the garage. I’ll confirm with Trek that its fine for the 22 carbon Rail, then the Ethirteen garbage can go in he bin!

I just ordered another E thirteenth 34t chainring as a spare. There was no install instructions but if you have the crank removal tool and spider socket, it’s pretty straight forward. The “o” ring metal spacer wasn’t necessary because the new E thirteenth chainring has integrated that into the new part. (Seems to work fine). But the teeth are friggen close to the chain stay (carbon bike here). 30F16BDF-81A2-4AF0-BF89-3FE799D15045.jpeg
I didn’t pay that much for it. Canadian prices though. ($54?).
