Article 2026 Specialized Levo 4 S-Works makes a big leap

Let’s hope some learn that they can’t just take there customers for granted that they will continue to buy the next one that comes out just because it has there sticker on the side.
You have a whole subforum filled with "you don't notice the extra weight!", "additional weight makes the bike feel more stable!", "Spec 3.1 is the sweet spot, anything less is too little and anything more is pointless!", "Genie is worth the price admission alone!" and similar proving otherwise 🤭

Have you heard the term “ Stockholm Syndrome “ To late after they have parted with their money.

See another glorious owner review from another Forum. 😂

Good question.
I think I would still find it impressive but not like the way it is with the DJI unit.

Not sure how you’ve configured yours, but to further the question, would it still be impressive with the UK assist limit in place on the Avinox?

I know the App and display are great, and the integration, downtube size etc, but everybody I have spoken to with one seems to have it set to ‘NZ mode’ via a VPN and it’s hard not to smile when the bike is pulling hard past 15.7mph.

See the discounts have started, 2k off needs to be more like 5k for starters imo.

You are actually a pretty funny kid spamming the forum about how bad you reckon the new Specialized is but I would guess most ppl knows you don't like the bike.
May I recommend you a local psychologist to straighting up your life?

I just thought it was interesting that the discounts had started this early. I don’t recall getting anything off my last 5 x S Works, full up list on every one.

Its the red/black in a medium, not a popular colour whereas the blue/red is a great colour and the are very few of those available. If any dealers out there want to sell me a S-Works red/black in S4 or S5 for £9k, i have cash waiting 😉😂. Would then have to find someone to do an specialized approved paint job 👍🏻.

Tons of other brand are in the same boat ... they deliver a bike to stay relevant or at least try to and then just go full discount 1-2 months later. Specialized has a fair head start in emtb, now they just do not, you only buy Specialized if you like the look, want to show off, have big cash, or want pristine support. Not saying this levo is a bad bike but certainly not for the price to me.

There is not a huge demand for 10k+ especially when the bike when it does not offer much.

And at the same time, Lots of bikes have the same issue when there is a motor refresh or new kid in the block. Bough my Slash plus in discount from 8.5 to 6.5k because one month pass, now 8-9 pass and as there is a new motor upcoming, you can find the sane one for only 4.5k.

I always bought Spec EMTB as I thought that they were the best EBike products at the time, when I best I mean rode the best this was supported by many well respected reviews. My bikes before E were 650B and a Marin Mountain Vision Pro. Were Spec have gone wrong this time is they waited way to long before launching this bike so that they could work though unsold Gen 3s. A store told me that they were in box’s ready to go a year before they were launched. Ok they took a chance and got caught out with the AMflow like many others. The problem they have now is that the bikes are to expensive, out dated in some areas and from I can see to put it mildly not the most reliable.

I would be always careful about reviewers, we are not them, and I would say that tons out there do not share the same feeling or expectation as me. Testing the bike is more important, I ride some bike labelled as great by all they were not for me.

As for Spec, they have the money, major issue to me, you bought a Levo because of its ride quality but also its unique motor where the belt was shinning (even if it was not as reliable as it should at first). Today this is just not the case anymore, power delivered can be really similar to a good tuned Bosch and the geo frame of the Levo is just meh to me.

They will definitely come with something soon I hope.

I actually read the reviews after I bought my bikes. I agree that have enough tools and experience in the locker to come up with something . But it takes a few years to develop these Bikes and the Likes of DJI, AMflow and others are not going to stand still. In my opinion they just thought that the established Spec customers would just keep writing cheques no matter what or when they bought out.

I wonder something here, people buy sometimes stuff because of the image not because it is the best, you know the prestige.
I would also argue that, even if the Spec are not great anymore, if you have one you will still have tons of joy. It is not like there is really bad bikes anymore.

One Gen 4 S-Works bike on sale doesn’t mean the sky is falling in…

Lots of people don’t buy the ‘best’ anything, personal preference, intended use of the bike and not least budget all come into it.

People buy the ‘best bike for them’ is a more accurate phrase. I’ve never understood the lure of the S-Works personally, especially at the prices, and when you can get bikes a bit lower down the line up that perform very similarly. Probably why Specialized have introduced the motor power differences to try and make it more obvious you’re getting something extra in the Works version.

But honestly, how many times do people need to come on to the thread and say the Gen 4 is ‘crap’? It isn’t, but it’s fine if it doesn’t interest you and nobody needs to know.

Oh, and for all you ‘Gen 4 curious’ folks still talking about Amflows all over the thread, the forum owner kindly created a special area for you so you can do that! 😉

At time back in 18/19 I bought my 1st Levo I tried about 3 other EMTBs, from that time I have had 7 Including S Works, on which I must have done close to 20k miles, I still have 2 that I leave abroad a 19 Comp Carbon and 23 Alloy , great bikes. I don’t doubt that lots of Fun is to be had on the Gen4s, but it’s far from the best riding EMTB anymore and at it’s price it should be.

The ‘price’ for a ‘Gen4’ goes from just over £5k to £12.5k. Is it a better value proposition at £5k rather than £12.5k?

I would say yes, but that’s just me, and other people will value other things higher up the range.

‘Best riding’ for you will be different for somebody else, why is this hard to grasp?

Buy what "you" like is my moto. I dont personally give two tosses what image or impression my bike or anything else I buy portrays or makes on anyone else. Its my hard earned cash (I work long hours, don't earn a huge amount and sell the old to the buy new) and after careful consideration and deliberation I buy what I personally like, not whats trendy or the latest and greatest (although sometimes that what i like). Its a personal choice, based on research, test ride, service and support, parts availability and quite often colour choice.

if I end up buying a specialized Levo 4, it'll be my first Specialized bike. At the moment theres not a lot of stock of the levo 4 in my size in the UK and I would really prefer to buy from a local bike shop if possible. But I have yet to decide which brand of bike i'll buy and have my current ride to sell.

what brand is faultless, what motor is reliable?, they all seem to have issues. So who gives the best service then comes into play. As the saying goes "you pays your money and takes your chance" 🤞🏻🤞🏻.

To date my DJI has been faultless other than one broken chain at 300 miles down to me. My S works over the same amount of time would have been back 6:8 times by now. I would rather take a chance on great riding bike thats priced well than one thats over priced to start with and is not a good ridding bike.

sell the old to the buy new

This is a good point. Most ‘normal’ folks don’t have multiple bikes, they have one, they ride it for everything and aren’t constantly comparing it to other bikes because they don’t ride any others.

There are plenty of people who think it’s important to tell you how you purchased the ‘wrong’ bike though! 😂

I always buy something where I am sure to have local support for ebike. I have seen and experienced too much ping/pong between customer/brandMotor/brandBike which is why I unfortunately will never buy some bikes I would really like to have.

It’s a bit disingenuous using that advert to illustrate bike discounts. Its not really a proper shop, they sell second hand bikes, I’m guessing the Levo has had one owner but hasn’t been used.
Any genuine shops offering the discount?

It’s not disingenuous at all, it’s what’s actually available. Yes I am aware of discounts being given at the point of sale. Not unusual at this price range to close a deal, I got a small discount on my AMflow deal.

So just the usual haggling that might happen on the purchase of any bike then. That's not really the same as a model specific sale across the the market is it?

I never said it was a model specific discount. But looking at how many of these sht Gen4s are hanging around I would not be surprised to see this soon. The AMflows on the other hand are selling like the hot cakes so to speak, the problem is from what I can see myself included is that more and more are coming round to the opinion that at 12.5k, it’s just a very expensive bike that is far from the best riding one available at this price point.

Specialized
2026 S-Works Turbo Levo 4 Carbon Electric Mountain Bike
£12,499.00

Taking the p1ss - an impossibly large target for AMflow and others to aim at and miss.

If second hand, you may lose the warranty, which is a great feature of a new e-bike

Your posts were implying the the discounting was widespread thing.

I just don't get why you are so personally offended by a bike that you are willing to waste your time sitting around on Levo threads bad mouthing it. Surely you have better things to do with your life?

I'm not a gen 4 fan by any means either. I'm pretty disappointed with the gen 4 offering tbh not that I consider it a bad bike. I just don't think it's at the level I would have expected for Specialized, especially considering the wait for it.

Behave , the point of your post was to gleefully show that the Gen 4’s weren’t selling so they have started discounting them, which is untrue.
I’ve never known a bike turn people into such cultists, it’s really bizarre with some of you Amflow owners.

But they are discounting them. Cultists, lol. If the AMflow had a spec badge on it or one from any other for that matter even at 12.5k I would own one or a couple in a Blink.
