Yeah visually clean in design proportion.... keen to watch out Polygon release a longer travel version...

Polygon seem to be priced well in general. I am curious how the bike performs.

Friend of mine has an N8E (the 160/160 travel version) and it rides well - runs the Shimano EP801 and 630wh battery.
Will be interesting to see if they replace this with the new Bosch-flavoured one with carbon frame and different geometry.

Yes please

Was just looking online at our local bike shop chain that stocks Polygon.

It appears that gone are the days of Polygon's being the budget option:

Polygon looking committed in going forward putting in the research time evolving tech design.... This latest bike looks the part and now requires feedback reviews to honouring backing up its saleable platform.....

Polygon may produce to another line of spec design bike accomodating across their range, anyways, nice looking bike Polygon.... The show must go on.....

Wait... Polygon had remarkable prices for their bikes, are they seriously building their business model around the upper price demographics. I understand that a high price conveys quality to a market that may not be price sensitive, so I get it, why leave money on the table. Although when reality sets in with too much inventory a sale price looks more compelling if the original price is "over the top"

No one is paying that money for a Polygon. Even if their bikes are good, they aren’t that good to justify those prices. I’d be one who could be converted to consider a bike based on price alone, but they are miles away price wise for me to consider buying one.

Spoke to someone at Evo today asking if they had any demo models available and their response was "in order to keep prices low, we have decided not to have a demo fleet."

Someone's making a decent margin, as Evo are the importers & retailers of Polygon and most likely purchasing directly from Polygon too.

I really like these bikes. I think they are a sweet spot for weight and power. In the US, the base model is $6299usd and on sale at $5799usd. I really don't think that's bad money when you look at the specs. It comes with the range extender ($5-600), GX transmission ($1000) and MT7 brakes with the HC3 lever upgrade ($500). I would love to see a model with a slx drivetrain, slx or 6120 brakes and no range extender for $1000-1500 less. I think that would rule the market.

I think it's the TLE (400wh Bosch SX) that comes with the range extender no? The build kits are decent, I think the Marzocchi setup is decent value.

Took the TE 0 version for a quick test ride today on pavement. Rear end was set to 30% and felt very plush. New bosch motor is excellent, but a shame there's no cutout to retrofit the new screen into the top tube.

Although Polygon don't include it in their marketing, the battery is removable underneath the downtube. It uses the same key system that the trek rail used but is held in place much better. I didn't notice any play when trying to move it.

The external charging port cover is rubbish and barely stays in place. It's just a piece of rubber that sits on the port and isn't even attached to the frame. Wouldn't be surprised if it came off while riding. Surprised Polygon didn't do better here.

The frame has some straight lines texturised into the paint finish, which I personally didn't like, but it's only cosmetic.

Everything else seemed pretty good, but I think the pricing is a little higher than it should be.

Looks like an older thread --- not quite zombie -- but a couple of months clearance -

But where are the 12 and 13k prices coming from? --- i just checked the Polygon website and the very top of the range rig is 8kish (US dollars) -- carbon and all the best AXS kit

But Polygon was at a price point where i contemplated purchasing one of their big travel analog bikes and stripping it --- just to update my Turbo Levo Comp ---- they get so much better prices from Fox, SRAM and Shimano that seems like a viable strategy -vs buying a fresh fork and drivetrain on my own and would give me a spare wheelset ---

but but but --- my bike is a 2023 --- their Collosus e-bike may be an upgrade for me -- and i should go work some overtime to cover it - who knows

I like what they're doing though either way
